Report a translation problem
There is a setting for steering wheel (as stupid as it may sound but it is an option, maybe for people that dont care about realism or going faster also just want a more pleasant driving with weaker or no FFB) that do exactly that, it locks you from turning more than 5° to 10° when over 120km/h at rF2 (and I know it exists because the game changed settings on itself) and suddenly not even karts I could not drive properly anymore.
I turned this option off, I could drive again.
Check if that is not a "speed sensitivity" option or something like that locking your steering wheel when at higher speeds.
Dirt 4 or wreckfest are more keyboard-friendly-games.
My 4 cents though...
definitely more control in the turns.
But the learning curve is steep, i must say.
EDIT: I'm talking about using the analog stick, of course, which I assume you're talking about here too. That being said, of course a controller has the advantage of having analog throttle and braking too, which helps.
