Dirt Rally Error "Access violation at address 0xc6317fe2 in module 'dirtrally2.exe' + 0x257fe2. dirtrally2.exe"

how to solve this error in rallycross ?
"Access violation at address 0xc6317fe2 in module 'dirtrally2.exe' + 0x257fe2.
dirtrally2.exe"

have tried sending this error report to cs Dirt Rally but they can't help. And I've reinstalled the game and it still has an error when I play rallycross.

Can you help solve this problem?

Verification of game files in steam is, and always will be, the first step with any game problem on steam. It doesn't take too long but it eliminates any download / corruption problems . ( Never skip this step)

Always make sure you have a clean install of your the latest stable GFX & Sound card Drivers. ( DDU by Guru3d [www.guru3d.com] is your friend. you may well want to check your chipset drivers .

Avoid running any non necessary Apps & "Utilities" such as RGB software, Bios software ,Mouse utils, Rivatuner, Afterburner etc with the Game - They've have been known to interfere with certain PC configs. As do non essential USB devices .

Then the more specific game checks come into play. - Its an elimination process .
Dont start the game via any desktop icon and do not start the game via the GFX card drivers "utilities" ie Geforce experience / Adrenalin.

For DR2.0 : renaming the Dirt rally 2.0 folder in Documents -> My games : This allows The game to " Start in vanilla" - settings wise . - (Renaming the folder allows you to revert back should you wish to do so. )

Those are the first key steps to trouble shoot.

I've done that, but still error in rallycross. Maybe there is another way I can try to solve this problem?

No, not really possible. Unfortunately for you Its looking more than likely 99% a problem on your PC set up. - else forums would be full the same posts. which they aren't.
As you have said Customer Support offered no help so there is no real quick fix.

Access violations are invariably caused by software failure. be it corruption of the running code. corruption of driver code, or corruption/ interference caused by other running software especially over zealous Antivirus and utility software , as have unstable Overclocks
Its a big list.

You can check your OS - by Googling " SFC /Scannow" and "DISM" for online instructions on how to quickly check that.

It really is a process of elimination. and pretty much boils down to asking "Does this app/program need to be running in order to play the base game with Keyboard? Y/N"

However in order to do that you have to 100% know that the system is running as it should.
Which is the reason for clean driver installs , SFC and DISM usage.

Sorry I cannot offer a quick fix or anything more useful

For me it was an easy fix, I couldn't even run the game without getting the access violation error or a black screen then the error so I did the following
go to main pc settings

Settings
Graphics settings

turn on Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling

it now runs bob on !

Don't want to jinx it, but I went from not being able to complete a stage to playing for an hour and a half straight with no crashes. Thanks!

Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling may be the solution for this particular "violation" etc error.
