No Weather Effects or Night Time in Career Mode.
I've played for 70ish hours and am driving in Elite championships now and I think I've literally had rainy/wet conditions twice and never had a fully night time rally, it's always like early dusk or dawn.

It's kind of a bummer tbh, I WANT difficult conditions to drive it. I'm absolutely tired of driving dry but I refuse to make no credits playing custom races.

Am I just doomed to drive dry during the day for the rest of the game or what?

Go online bro, fire up a race with full rain at night time.
Then come back and tell us how bad that was and how hard LOL

Watch out what you wish for :P

Night time can be quite broken with crappy visibility due to bad extra lights even in modern cars (2000cc, R5, R-GT, R2). Forced lower visibility at night makes game run better so probably that's why they made it so (and there can be fog too like on day stages in Finland). If they're almost all removed from career then it's just good because AI times might not be affected by night+rain as much as u are. I think there can be dusk+rain which isn't as bad as full night but still very difficult in some locations.

Just run a test in Freeride-> Custom menu with 100% (master level) AI, choose night+heavy rain stage for example in Scotland and see if u can match AI times, specially Gr B 4wd AI times there are extremely fast.

The further you move up your career (Open to Clubman to Professional and so on...) the more night and rainny stages you're going to find. On the first few career difficulty levels they are very rare.

I'm pretty sure it's actually the exact opposite.. I've had a couple night races and 1 or 2 rain races in Opens and Clubsman but haven't had a SINGLE one of each in Pro and Elite

As OP said, being doomed to play the same boring ass dry daylight race over and over again is nightmarish. Give us some change

I was about to create exact this thread. Its extremely disappointing to see that the peak rally title now has so many flaws which could've been easily avoided if only they cared to take an extra day of work total and make those conditions affect AI, the whole AI system is a huge downgrade from DiRT 3, how is this the next and more realistic title and we don't even have other cars on track physically?.. (no, the random "encounters" of a smoking car crashed on the side doesnt count, it literally just spawns there)

I was thinking of rerolling next championship until I get rainy days in the schedule.

Also, on another topic, is it possible to reset just your 'league' from elite down to open again? Simply because amount of stages per championship is ridicolous now, so boring to drive the same car for 60 stages total in a row... I just want shorter events :/
Also I dont understant how within the same event same exact track can be repeated 2-3 times, but it always have a different name, like wtf?
Important to not lose any other progress

I have not got past club man in Rally yet, i spend more time doing Elite Rally cross and the daily events. It seems like I am in the rain, snow, or dark 2/3rd of the time on rally, and always in the rain on rally cross. Maybe we need to switch copies of the game? lol
