Fastest Classes and Cars?
I just wonder which class of cars are the fastest, is it R5, 2000cc or any other? And also how much of a difference in these cars in the same classes? For example are there any speed differences in between R5 cars or 2000cc cars? And also i didn't get the difference between 2000cc and R5 classes, why is there two different classes like that and what is that mean?

So we can simply say that actually the fastest Rally cars in Dirt Rally 2.0 are actually the 2000cc cars? I didn't know that at all. But what are the other differences like handling? Can we say that R5 cars are more challenging compared to 2000cc cars in Dr2.0?

No, The fastest and most challenging are the group B cars.

Well, let's skip the Group B cars for now :D I would like to compare modern ones.
if it is about twisty tarmac-stages, those 90's "kit-cars" (306-Maxi, Seat Ibiza,...) would be capable contenders, as well. sequential 7-speed, ultra-light-weight and rattle-y, ...

On the more flowing stages those rally-GTs will surely be in their element, as well. But then again, 90s..2000s WRC class is probably the last hurra of the great driving-machines with Mitsubishi EVOs and Imprezas still battling it out with production-car based chassis retaining most of their character in competition-form ... only to be left in the dust by a certain frenchman and his totally-not-a-Citroen C4 :-)

Group B may well be the fastest, but can you drive them consistently to their full potential?, that is the problem. The later suspension of Group A and upwards increases your chances of being faster due to stability.

Id wager the 2000cc class too. The centre diff and slightly higher power makes quite a difference.
In the right hands it's almost certainly the Gr B AWD cars though. Their raw power is just disgusting

But they feel like they have no grip, no traction especially in gravel stages. It feels like it is impossible to control them with some speed and stability.

The 2000cc's? They have great traction. You'll wanna keep the power on a little at times through corners to keep the diffs locked for the stability.

Just tried the new BMW M2 on a long track in Poland... very nice - very stable drive - I over-rotated on a hairpin because I forgot it was RWD, but 400hp very impressive.

I had it at 120mph at one point and it still wasn't at maximum speed using default gears.

Was talking about Group B, the 2000cc and R5 cars has nothing special.

Judging from the leaderboard... Obviously 4WD Gr.B is the fastest
Then there are UT2000cc and R5.. Sometimes they are pretty close but 2000s are quicker in uphill stages, likely that R5s have that power deficit but grips better
Gr.A is slightly slower than 2000/R5 and further down is RGT and RWD Gr.B... RGT cars are not much quicker than 037
I haven't look up the rest yet :P but those should be pretty clear

fastest undoubtefully are the Audi, Delta S4, Forsd RS 2000, etc...
Delta S4 goes on gravel from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 2 sec ...as provided by manufacturer. Try that in spain on the tracks with long straight lines for max speed test ...I could reach 234 km/h...then crashed :)))) on the long right turn
