But now in DR2 I'm currently in the pro championship and always AIs beat my ass off. I can't even get past 20th. This really turns me off and gives me no motivation to challenge DR2.
A locked tyre on any surface makes a noise inside the car, OK you can argue if you could hear it with a lid on etc, but still, I have played a lot of racing games and this is a game, not a sim (don't let Codies convince you otherwise) and have never experienced this weird issue before. A locked wheel causes some noise regardless of weather, surface.
I mean, that's why we all bought the game . . . so yeah, me too. They advertise it as a rally simulator, so that's what we expect. If Richard Burns Rally could accomplish what it did in 2004, and on a shoestring budget, its not asking much for a AAA game in 2019 to be a slight improvement.
I'm totally with you pal. This game's campaign is so insanely difficult compared to DR1 that I hardly play it. For casual players, I'm sure its enraging. The AI times in this game are leaps and bounds faster that the best REAL LIFE rally times ever set. Its absurd, and you cannot go into this game with the expectation of ever beating them.
My personal philosophy for this game is that you shouldn't play it to beat the campaign or to compare yourself to the AI at all. When you play Dirt Rally 2.0, judge your accomplishment off of your improvement over time, and how you do on the global leaderboard (for example, this month you see that you're finishing in the top 20% more often, whereas last month you could hardly break 25%). You have to go into this game with the goal of just becoming a better racer, not to beat the game. Does that make sense?
Sorry fella I didn't mean you I meant the twerp who posted directly above me in that post :-)
The AI sucks balls...
Personally I care more about my performance against others in the leaderboards and whatnot so it doesn't bother me too much once I get to master, if I'm getting blown away. That being said, perhaps they should add a couple of more "in-between" categories and leave master as is..... for the absolutely best of the best
