Saitek Wheel Access violation crash
So I have a Saitek R440 that worked fine in Dirt Rally [1] (with FFB), comes up with Access Violation in SaiQFF04.DLL when loading Dirt Rally 2.0. Really annoyed since I just spent an age downloading the GOTY edition.

Any solutions anyone?

Well renamed SaiQFF04.ddl and now it starts, with no FFB.

Super unimpressed by the huge amount of money I start with, terrible menu system. Game plays like DR1 so I think I'll go back to that and skip the Dirt series in future.

Do you also have very low fps ? if so try this : "

I'm just posting here because i fixed an issue that a lot of players has :

My game runs at 5/10 fps on very low altought i have a good computer ( RTX 2070super, i7 cpu, 18Gb RAM, thrustmaster t150 wheel etc). You might even have this report when your game crash :
 "access violation at address 0x2e1cc875 in module 'dirtrally2.exe' + 0x8dc875. dirtrally2.exe"

I'll make it short for you because i know you are prob tired of trying a lot of solutions :

1) go behind your computer

2) unplug your screen and search for another hdmi port BEHIND YOUR GRAPHIC CARD, it might be hidden behind a plastic cover.

3) Now your motherboard recognise your main graphic device as your GPU and not your CPU, and the game should run smoothly.

i hope this helps, good luck "

Did you get any luck in getting the thing work?
When you say you "renamed SaiQFF04.ddl", do you mean that you renamed the dll driver with any casual name and that worked?

PS: I've an old Logitech Wingman Formula Force that has no manufacturer's 64bit driver working in W10. I got to disable the driver signature, install the modified version of SaiQFF04.dll and that's working without FFB.
But cannot get to work for Dirt Rally 2.0!!!

I basically disabled the Force feedback by renaming the dll, I guess.
Now I have a logitech wheel anyway.

I completely deleted the SaiQFF04.dll from Windows/System32 folder and that allows the game to start and the wheel to work - without the FFB as you mentioned.
I see it's time to spend some money and get a fresh wheel :)
Any recommendation?
What wheel are you using by Logitech, G29?
