Playing with a friend, WHAT and HOW

Hello everyone!

I dont quite get the sense of how the multiplayer works? Do we drive simultaneously or one after the other? Can I just pass the controller while we sit on the couch after I'm done with my lap?

If I own all of the DLC, do they share to my friends?

There's nothing that supports couch multiplayer.

You can drive simultaneously with others when playing against online players. In rally stages you won't see your opponents' cars; in RX stages you will. There's no one-after-the-other multiplayer.

If you own all DLC and create a lobby, anyone who joins that lobby can race on that DLC even if they didn't buy it.

As for 'couch multiplayer' - when my friend and I play Dirt Rally (first) we usually just pass the controller to each other as we compete against each others time

Yeah you can still do that of course. If you play Time Trial mode you can even load up your ghost so the person you pass the controller to has a visible car to beat even on a rally stage. (Or any other player in the world's ghost if you want.)
