It feels that co-driver calls in Scotland are later than usual, which usually means I end up hitting a pile of logs. :winter2019angryyul:

There is an option to make co-driver call later or earlier. Use it. And yes, in Scotland calls are waaay too late by default.
Scottland suffers hard from late calls. If I push my pace it feels like I am already through the next corner after when the fitting description arrives at my ears.
But Scottland is not alone in this. Sweden right one after over crest left-4 caught me off guard too in the F2 monthly.
Must be a scripting-error that needs some manual TLC / correction by the dev-team as I am unable to find a way to "mod out" those flaws by myself without risking a ban.

What stops you from setting co-driver timing option to earlier?
co driver timings in scotland are NOT affected by the in game timing slider, they are just as shocking no matter where the bar is set.

It's still late sometimes even though I've already set co driver calls to far left, the earliest.

Didn't notice, setting helped me.

I set somewhere to middle between default and earliest, so far so good, 9 stages was fine for me. But still there is something wrong with timings. Sometimes you know next 3-4 turns, sometimes you have less than 0.5 second to make a descision.

I could have placed a bet on when a clueless fellow brings up that question...

...to answer to your curiosity: my preferences are pegged to the earliest setting possible since before the first time I jumped into a car in this game. UI is set to almost all off (I do use the virtual rev-counter because: small-monitor and realistic FOV).

I do think it goes without saying that I double-checked my settings are where I want them before joining this discussion. But there you go.

Happy rallying and please say "hi!" to that tree for me next time you two meet, ;-)

Im with Simon on this one, you can slide the calls to be earlier but it makes no differance. The corners are just either wrong or called to late and maybe Earl just isnt going fast enough.

People who are slow wont be effected, im fast man so i know its wrong. Im ricky bobby fast baby........

Well, I'm not fast, but I'm still in top 30% players during those 9 stages I done. I admit there are problems in timings (and I have no idea what testers did during their job?!) but it's not that terrible.

I've also noticed some of the call outs are still completely wrong. A lot of long left 3, are actually medium left 2. Kind of annoying if you ask me.

Sometimes the co-pilot will give you short left 2, and it's a medium left 3 or 4.

agreed, i had adjusted the calls to be quite early for all other stages and they are now perfect, but the same settings dont work in scotland. way too late. also the needless excess information in scotland with all the overkill calls etc is kind of overwhelming and hard to keep up with. and the co driver is quieter than usual too for some reason.
