The answers sound quiet contrary... Do you guys think it is better than Richard Burns Rally in terms of realistic driving physics?
RBR ? outdated since long time.
DR 2.0 is a really fun game with the most sim-like physics available atm. Get it for 2 hours and refund if you don't like it.
I just have a hard time to figure out if the driving physics of DR2 again handle with more realism in focus or still go for the more casual arcade/simcarde approach.
But from what you guys state here I do understand its more of the latter?
Dude you have made obviously false statements in many threads here. The latest stating that you cannot jump with the cars in DR 2.0 and I have went airborne literally 100's of times. I don't know what the deal is and I'm trying to be fair here, but you are making patently false claims for what reason I do not know.
I didnt like it at first and actually came on here slating it... but after you spend some time with it, it just clicks, you start getting into a rythm and get some real pleasure from it. There are some big improvements over DR1.
Buy it, play for less than 2 hours... and get a STEAM refund if you dont like it. I think you will though..
In DR1 the older cars were way way too fast to be realistic, that has been addressed. Word of warning though the FFB in DR2 is currently worse than DR1.
How is RBR far from outdated? It's extremely dated, we were making fun of the tarmac physics in RBR in 2009, but it had great offroad physics for the time. But the moon physics in RBR are hardly realistic, and the quality/resolution of the actual surfaces are also primitive.
RBR fan updated is a feat, impressive how long the cult classic has lasted and held its fandom, but it sold like 5 copies and the playerbase while loyal is tiny. People who think the game is actually realistic have clearly never driven a real car in anger.
Make up your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind. At one point the cars are floaty as a hovercraft nd in the next they are so heavy they won't jump. You got me, best trolling yet.;)
