Try this Audi Quattro setup for gravel.
This setup totally transforms the audi quattro for me on gravel (wheel and pedals)
Particularly good for Waimarama point forward - NZ
I can now keep up/potentially beat my best time with the Delta S4 after getting used to it. I have second fastest time in the S4 in the global leaderboard there.

Alignment- leave default

Brakes -
braking force -3012.00 N-m (lower by one notch to the left if too sensitive for you)
Brake bias- 50%

Differential
Front Lsd driving lock- 36%
Front lsd braking lock-20%
Front lsd preload- 0.00N-m
Centre viscous diff - 16kgf-m/100rpm. (Move the slider to the right if you find the car too loose on rotation)
Centre torque bias- 55%
Rear lsd driving lock- 50%
Rear lsd braking lock - 45%
Rear lsd preload - 0.00 N-m

Gearing

Gears 1-4 all default

5th gear- 1.024

Final drive - 0.207 (140mph+ for fast stages, lower as required)

Damping - leave default

Springs
Front ride height-8mm
Front spring rate- 84.27 N/mm
Front anti roll bar- 15.00 N/mm
Rear ride height- 10.00 mm
Rear spring rate- 71.6 N/mm
Rear anti roll bar- 13.50 N/mm

A lot depends on your skill level, driving style and car balance preferences but give it a try, feedback what you like/dont like and I'll suggest the apt setup change for you.

Cheers.

Question since you probably know how to tune

say I really like the Lancia in group B for it's agility, is it pointless to try to tune other cars to make them similar in handling? Or is it just better to stick with something you already like and build from there?

I'll give your config a shot later.

Personally I just tune each car to how I like it but you can try, you will be able to do it to a varying degree of success.. but some things like weight distribution of the rear engined cars vs front engined cars, COG, polar moments of inertia, these things are in each cars DNA and all hard coded in the game.

Do you want a setup to try for the S4? Tell me what rally/stage and I'll see what I can come up with..

The lancia is the only twin charged(super and turbo) group B car. You will never get such extreme power on the low and high end of the tach out of any other Group B car. You could make the other cars feel similar in terms of weight transfer and traction but something will still feel different. That being said, there may be other features of the Delta that are resonating with you and it is never stupid to try as many setups as you can until you find something just right for you.

Yep, 205 t16 is probably the best for the twisty stuff but the Delta S4 is the best allrounder in GrpB IMO.
The quattro is front engined so its already compromised, its also big, heavy and boxy. It just has more power which can allow it to compete if well set up... but only on stages with fast sections that allow it to stretch its legs.

My Delta S4 setup for you to try here- https://steamcommunity.com/app/690790/discussions/0/1839063537805068371/

Yeah I tried the tuning didn't really do it for me. I guess it's a bit different when you play on controller vs pedals too I'm guessing.
Guess the agile cars no matter what group works the best for me anyway.

Crazy how many changes you made. How long did it take you to get to that kind of level where you could tell that little difference between tunings?

edit:
I'll give the Delta one a try.

Yes, defo wheel setups. Cant see them working very well with a gamepad, the cars will be far too sensitive for it.

I used to compete in real life so I have a fairly good understanding about car setups.

I just drive whatever car a mile or so, change what needs changing, test and repeat setting by setting, go back and forth and keep tweaking until its how I like it. Maybe 30-40 mins or so, then try to beat the WR time for the stage. Took me about 10-12 attempts to get to 2.38 secs off the WR just now.

Yeah, great fun but also too expensive a sport to just be a hobby.

No worries, sorry for not having a pad..

I really like that setup for the quattro.

Tested it in Australia and i will use it for every gravel stage now.
Much better to handle. My own setups were not as good as this one.
Understeering is a problem but its much better with that setup

Thanks for Sharing your setups. My Audi Quattro was wandering about all over the place and would not turn a tight hairpin very well so it was a beast to drive.I will use your setup now but wondered do you setup any different for Snow? I have tried the Lancia Delta I agree its a great car

I have Dirt Rally 2.0 Videos on my peterboyanton.com website, some with a Lancia Delta
