Handbrake USB not too expensive
I have not found many handbrake options on the market other than Thrustmaster or Fanatec.
I found this Chinese handbrake and I came to suggest if someone is looking for a not too expensive hand brake.
The product has great quality and totally plug and play. I tested on DiRT Rally 2, Project Cars 2 and Wreckfest. It worked perfectly.
The model is large and robust. It came to me in 12 days. I'm in Barcelona.

Just a suggestion =)

I bought it here: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B07K8MDNKP/ref=cfb_at_prodpg ;)

It's "not good" though

It wll work wonderfully for those on a tight budget, but is horrible for anyone who might think it's a good peripheral.
wAAAAAAAAAAY too thin and flimsy, in my not so humble opinion
Spend extra 50-100 on a decent pre-made one or make one for yourself, as it could a lot more advanced and proper if you are into DIY

EDIT: I made a mistake, apologies! I thought it was about the original Fanatec HB, see my reply a few posts below.

for budget one you can just buy some old/used joystick (used for steering airplanes)
for the money thrustmaster is asking you could of course look at Heusinkveld, as well. But the upside of TM products is they were designed around the use-case of someone who temporarily mounts his wheel and gear to his normal desk. There is a table-clamp available to combine handbrake and shifter.
Downside of Thrustmaster products: they are smelling blood at the moment and their msrp is sky-high at the moment. Better do your research and shop around, or just adapt a cheap joystick that you don't care about frankensteining, if you are the diy-type!

Really? Have you tried them? They use the base for this in real cars.
You can build this for about $40 last time I checked.

There are DIY videos for this very handbrake on YouTube:

To tell you the truth, I'm not the type that saves money with the hobby xD
My first choice was the Thrustmaster TSS + Clamp worth € 360.00, but it would not fit easily into my Next Level Racing Wheel Stand. That's when I decided to look for other solutions and I decided to risk this model that already comes with clamp. It is very good and of excellent quality, it is not at all fragile, quite the contrary, it is very robust =)

Exactly this model. I bought because I'm not very good at DIY xD

I did try fanatec HB, yes

All I am saying, for that price I made my own hydraulic handbrake, using whatever automotive variants of the actual HB leaver, as in your linked video. It still was cheaper for me than that horrible bendy Fanatec atrocity :)

I am sure it still works as expected, but even a button mapping for HB (even if not analogue) works almost as well

I'll stick to my own creation, which is just perfect anyway :)

If one is not into DIY or on a very tight budget or does not use HB that often in games (most circuit racing sims don't need one really), then I could understand that flippy Fanatec thing, but otherwise I can[t condone it

AND NOW- I have finally fully read the OP! So sorry, I thought it was about the standard Fanatec HB - my sincere apologies for derailing this discussion!

Full marks to any DIY/cheaper HB or other peripherals makers! Love 'em
