Should check your RTX2080... I returned an Asus RTX2080 Dual OC because of always 100% usage and suddent windows or game crash. There's a chance yours is defect sadly.

I don't think it is his GPU.
On a 980ti here & I max at 88% GPU usage. I'm on the latest NV driver which is 419.17.
Hopefully this day one patch fixes GPU utilization and FFB.

Same here using GTX 1080 and I'm only using 90 to 91% gpu usage? They better optimise this game because I'm getting really pissed that only consoles get the optimisation in all games???

Same here with a rtx2070. It's about 95% with 1440p and 83 with 1080p - both with MFAA 4x; not S.
Additionally, the sound was gone after some time, turned back in the result menu in low volmume and was normal in the main menu.

CPU chills between 20-30% so far i've seen that.

Hope that we get the day one patch really on day one, thought it's included.

Because just not enough functions are addressed at once. Nowadays the hardware energy management is pretty good.
Unfortunately that doesn't help if the software or the drivers have problems.

After I slept about it, I think these are driver issues, but actually we have already received our DR2 patch from Nvidia a few days ago. (no idea how it was before, maybe it even came through the patch)
e: It is usually impossible for 3 gc generations to have the same gpu usage with almost the same settings. (high or max settings with 1080-1440p - A high usage is of course, if you have to downgrade its graphics due to an old system - you are already on the limit. But at least the gtx1080 and the rtx series should have more than enough performance to be far below the 90% for the most time - not only because we can play other new games like bfv in 2k/4k etc, also because the recommended gpus are AMD RX Vega 56 or NVIDIA GTX 1070)
What the cards have in common is the latest driver.

there is a cpu limit cause even the rtx 2080ti with i9 9900k can't reach 100%, something needs an update cause 10% or 10fps are a very very big loss.

nobody has 99% in DR2.0 it's not the card the problem but the game. In Dirt 4 the gpu usage is at 99%.

Your CPU is a monster, and taken alone, would not surprise anyone if the game would not even use 30% of it. But, you are right, becaase i'm seeing similar complaints about i5 8600k, not even reaching 50% on any given core. Also the GPU problem seems to be real, nvidia 10 series staying on "capped" 80-85% usage, which results in sub 60FPS dips for ultra.

The price of the game is good but i'm gonna wait a bit for more optimization b4 getting it.

Even on 720p it's about 60-70% gpu usage, also lowered mfaa to 2x and disabled the mirrors and lowered the crowd to low - there is something totally wrong. (rtx2070, i7 8700K etc.)
And 36% if it's minimized.

i am on a 1080ti and dont care about gpu usage. I am at 4k so it will be high. so what.
for those with 2080 and the 2080ti. do you really expect them to work properly?

i prefer 165hz 1440p ultra than 4k 60hz low/mid....
