Leaderboard abusing / cheating
I have read that this alltime being online / connected to racenet should be stop leaderboard abusing or cheating.

Ok, but what is this? The game isn't released official and it already started. This is the RX challenge from yesterday. GG

Maybe, just maybe, they used the leaderboards as an excuse to downplay peoples' complaints about having to always be online to play career mode.

If that is the truth, we can forget completely all hopes of career being patched out off of RaceNet .

Every Dirt game the same. And now we are already in minus times. Looks like they found a way to start at -10minutes.

Do you suppose that rest of the leaderboard table is totally clean?

Thats why Racenet-only Singleplayer career is pointless and only harms and hampers singleplayer lovers. I do not care about leaderboards, but i do care about my career progress. I want to be sure once i complete a stage, it will be saved until i want to delete that career profile.

Why is it SO HARD to see? They are already cheating as we speak. It is not a possibilty, it is a cert, reality, hardcore..... :steambored:

With luck they are just glitchers which are "patched" after some time.
But all in all: It's steam ....

even the lower half has cheated times but they are swallowed up by hundreds of clean times. You know, one STILL has to drive regardless of cheat. xD

let career mode be off line so we can enjoy the full game.
I actually thought it would take at least a week. this is funny
seriously was anybody ever stopped hacking in a game?

We all know it`s in their minds to stop piracy, You make it an always online deal. Trouble with this style of 1990`s thinking is that it`s already cracked and being offered before it`s released mainstream.

Codemasters have a pretty bad rep nowadays especially when it comes to leaving games half finished, Just look at the recent F1 2018 it still has the micro stuttering in the Ego engine that previous editions had but they just dismiss peoples issues and wow look at that Dirt Rally 2 also has the same issues which again won`t be fixed.

Soooo, i really think that online leaderboard has some cheaters or lets say strange things. for example in Monte Carlo Online, i loose in every section in min. 5 seconds and sometimes in one stage -50 seconds to the leader.. i cannot evaluate this..

just to clarify that im not a noob:

BUT, if you look at the screenshot. there are around 5-6 French "Dirt-Players" and i see them in almost every spain stage on top.. who are they and what the heck is wrong with daily,weekly times online?

These "Dirt-Players" are console gamers. For some reason Codemasters don't want to show console players and pc players the names of each others in the leaderboard. -.-

Console Players.. on a gamepad.. with all possible aids.. quicker than pple with steering wheel and no aids like me.. come on...

here´s another proof that something is really wrong. just driving the group A weekly now and after 3 stages the P28 - 50 is already 1min, 20sek behind.

the whole system is garbage.
If you dont categorize the aids used the times are all useless.
