Ok, that explains it. Thanks!
Just as I said I´d rather grind for my money, so I think I´ll just buy some car and sell it on for 0 credits then...
Or if they must, at least pop up a box & ask us if we want it first.
I don't understand the thinking behind it. It's not an annoyance or grind to earn in-game currency... that's part of the experience & enjoyment of playing the game & making your own progress, isn't it?
It's similar to the assumption that all Deluxe buyers want the auto-unlocked cars/upgrades. At least I could disable those DLCs before launching the game.
Some sort of promise of an extra livery/cosmetic award or similar, at some point in the future might have been more of an appropriate "thank you for your patience".
Anyway... thankfully it sounds like I can "waste" the free cash away somehow in car trades?
From what I have seen, that kind of money still can be spent pretty fast, so I still have to think about what I want to get.
I mean, it is something like 4 of the high end cars, or buying 4 engineer slots (assuming they all cost like 240k like the 3rd slot)
An option to accept/decline would still have been nice though.
I tend to think if any game becomes a grind to the extent that giving out free currency/XP/similar is seen as a "thank you", then it probably has poor balancing of rewards/progression. Or, more likely these days, it's part of a plan to sell in-game currency (or other similar progression) for real-world cash. { EDIT: of course, this isn't that type of game. I'm just speaking in general of games. }
How the hell did D4 have a more realistic career mode?
Also as compensation it means absolutely nothing, seeing as in-game money costs Codies absolutely nothing. Compensation would be something like free DLC.
