Hardcore damage in career mode?

Looks like there is no way to have hardcore damage in career mode. Did I miss anything or is it a wanted feature??

yeah, can't set damage or difficulty in career mode, only in Freeplay - this was never mentioned prior to release.

It's a bit like the addiction to Racenet, we're all kind of scratching our heads and saying "why Codies, why?"

You go back to the original game, and play the single player, then go back to Dirt Rally 2.0 and go...

"What were they thinking?"

This was an open goal and they fluffed it. HOW.

The first time you go into any of the modes, outside of time trial (I believe) it asks you to set the AI level (I can't remember it's name) and there is a check box to turn on hardcore damage. It can be very easy to miss.

The problem I have and the reason I've been posting on here is that I can't find anyway to change your initial selection.

Haven't checked this myself yet (not sure if it's in v1.4 or v1.41), but possibly good news...

historic and fia rx are the only difficulty choice. Career and time trial as no difficulty level choice.
