Setups
I haven't a clue how to setup a rally car so could players post their setups that they are using? Especially if you are using the Subaru 1995 and the Nissan Datsun.

Thanks :)

why are you playing a rally sim? Learning is all part of the fun. I see in your profile you have posted F1 setups to a workshop. So you must know something?

F1 and rally are two different types of racing, their is no workshop support yet so thought id ask.

Simply overview

Locked diffs will make the car slide more but is good on dirt

Loss diffs good for on road

Stiff springs and shocks will bounce more on rough services

Soft springs is good for rough services but bad for smooth services

Roll bar stiff will make the car not roll
Roll bar soft will make the car roll

Gearing
4:1 is short
1:1 is long

This is just a simple overview of what these do

Ive been pretty much setting up all the cars the same and it usually works great.
-Brake Bias to the rear and lower brake power a notch or two.
-Max out final gear for top speed.
-Open diff(all sliders to the left) for front axle.
-Lock diff for rear axle except I have been putting brake lock to open(all the way to the left for less "drag" off throttle since rally cars are squirrely enough as it is.
-Stiffen the anti-roll bars to the max for front and back.

Works well in most cases....

In DR2 I cant see where and how I save my settings, in DR1 it was easy.

Steering Centre Force on or off ? I have seen many settings with on and off.

If you have a G27, it's the top button on the shifter. If not, you can choose in the settings to
show on screen what button to press to navigate the menus.

Cheers :)

in the grand scheme of things, it is much different to feel the effects of multiple tweaked setups than explaining them with words. Thanks for your post though. Everyone should start from somewhere. xD

I have G25 Wheel, but in DR1 I change the car settings, then I save it. And named it for exemple GravelWales. So next time I Went for Wales I just picked it up again.

glad that i saw your post while i am online now. Yes, it is not very easy to see the button to save changed setups. When on TUNING window in service area, press F2* (it is written on lower right of Tuning page with a button symbol next to it) to bring in a side page to load, save or RESET your setup.

*called as [tuning options]
