Buying cars questions

Pretty sure the Mini is supposed to be in the game, heck, AI opponents have it, but I can't buy one because it's not on the list. What's going on?

Also, I've noticed I can buy the same car multiple times, what's the point of that?

You can buy used car at lower price, but be aware of his stat (crash, distance etc, like in the very first racedriver grid) or you can also buy A fresh new car. But if you look closely at the top right of the car selection, You can see a timer. When this time down to 0, All the listed car changed for another. So, if you don't find the mini for now, just wait a little more.

Wait, whaa? We have to wait for the car we want to appear on the list? And we don't even have any way of knowing when that will be? Why, who though it was a good idea?

This sounds like something straight from some crappy micro-transaction infested mobile game, the only thing missing is a big banner saying "Click here if you don't want to wait, for only $9.99!"

I did buy the Deluxe version, and yet I don't have it :|

EDIT: Also, looking at the box, it says there are "5 early unlock cars" - stratos, escort, quattro, impreza and fiesta. I do have those, no mini though.

Hey hey, my bad. I could have sworn I raced it when I first launched the game on Friday but it's not in my garage now. Will investigate further. Sorry for the misinformation.

Ah, I know what I did. It must have been for sale and I test drove it. It was one of the cars for sale to compete in one of the dailies. Sorry for the confusion and getting everybody's hopes up. :(

Np, this is less about the Mini itself, and more about the weird way they implemented this. I don't understand why they did it this way, I see no benefit of this, it seems like just a nuisance for the players to have to wait until the car they want is magically available.

This is because you can not use the same car in differents race's (daily event and carrer for example) at the same time

Go to your garage and check what cars are currently in a race mode.

Gotcha, anyway I figured out what happened. When I first started playing the game I did a lot of time trials and the mini is the 1st car that pops up when you do that so I raced it a few times on the different tracks. That why it was in my mind that I owned it lol.

Wow, this is getting more confusing with each answer. Although I can kinda see it making some sense, considering how they implemented damage done to your car being more permanent.

Still, the more I play/learn about DR2 the more confused I get about some of the design decissions they made.
