Can't change tyre
I'm on a career rally at the moment with one spare tyre. I've punctured my rear left - why won't it let me change it? When I pull over and stop there seems to be no option and pressing up (roadside repair button) does nothing.

What's the magic trick or is this a bug?

I think you have got to bind one of your buttons to 'Roadside Repair'.

I think the ability to carry 0,1 or 2 spare tyres is a nice touch.

if you have not got to the service area you wont have another spare tire yet... if it is not working for some reason try selecting your primary controller type if its something different. when I loaded the game everything worked but i had no steering. then i switched it to the xbox360 option (even though i have a ps4 controller running through an emulator) failing that make sure your car is actually carrying a spare tire as the option are 0,1 or 2 spare tyres. also i think that you might have to upgrade phil mills in your staff setting from the main menu at least once to be able to do road side repairs

Whether or not you can change a punctured tyre seems to be completely random. I recently had to retire from a Racenet event after puncturing early in a long stage as the game did not offer me the chance to change. This despite stopping completely numerous times and carrying 2 spares.
Is there a trick to it? Do I need to pull off the road? Apply the handbrake?

Same here. Currently doing Month 4 Race 4 New Zealand , puncture 4Km into 16Km penultimate stage, stopped and no tyre. Every time i start i set tyres & spare tyres, tuning from my lists then back to tyres/spare. Tyres are back down to 0 and i reset. Almost every race, stage. I was running 150 in the race, down to 300. My overall position was 170 after 3 rallys, 3 months. This feck up will likely send me down to 300 or such with a 15 minute maximum. Why practice for 2916.2 hours and get shafted. Again.

If u make the car setup in time trial and save it then spare tire option for dailies, clubs etc events is set to 0 by default when u load it.
So when u load setup done and saved in TT then go to tire menu and make sure u have spare tire(s) u want to take with you.

Possibly i forgot to check but as said, i add 2 then tune then go back , check and add again if need be. Hey, tough on me - it's rallying. Only dropped me to 185. Monte next.
