Ambient lighting in cockpit view
I´m playing DR2.0 on low graphics settings because even though I am using a GTX 1060 3GB, the performance is quite underwhelming. But the main problem is that the stage ambient and the whole exterior of the car is way too bright in cockpit view which makes the game look terribly. I think that might be realistic because of eye adaption and the darker interior of the car but I really hate that effect. Adjusting brightness in game doesn´t help. Does anybody else struggle with that?

i would suggest try installing the newest nvidia driver.
wich should be 419.17
and then try it again.

if that does not work try the first two graphic options
shader
and texture

and do not set these to low < i think at least on of them causes issues maybe.

Don't turn everything to low.

A tip is to park your car in a low FPS spot and make your adjustments in the menu there. When you hit apply you will see your FPS update that way you can keep changing things and seeing the result on the fly. I was able to get mine over 60 at all times with a full mix of Ultra, High and medium settings that way. The key is to get a good FPS in a really bad FPS area so make sure you find the most taxing spot and work on it there maybe even with rain to add to the stress.

Once you get that running you should be good for everything else there on out.

Have you got a special spot in mind? Thx for your advice. With which tool do you analyze your FPS?

You can use the steam overlay fps counter or something like msi afterburner+rivatuner.
