Recommend rotation degree
What rotation degree do you guys use for your wheel?

For Dirt Rally, I'd set the rotation degree to 540° in the software for my wheel (T300RS) because it seemed easier for me to take sharp corners. But for Dirt Rally 2, I'm considering setting it to 1080 and using soft lock for a more realistic experience...

...back in DiRT Rally and DiRT 4 I did the soft-lock thingie... so, with a Logitech G27 that means up to 900 degree wheel action. It feels more correct that way (but it is mostly/more relevant for the old cars). You get more correct feedback, and the rear-wheel monsters might be easier to handle.

Isn't the Fiat 131 Abarth the only car in DiRT that has 1080 degree wheel rotation, btw?

I always used softlock and softlock for the shifters, because I wanted the 'real' experience. It's amazing.

But the con is that you need either Fanatec v1.5 or two different shifters. I had a fanatec V1.5 and a Heusinkveld at my peak then.

TH8A is annoying when you 'softlock' the transmission, cause you need to screw and unscrew it every different car.

soft lock on.
it's easier to race with 360 degrees a car like 250 t16 evo2 , but don't do like some kids gamers like Dggeesio , play with the rotation of the car (900) with soft lock on

Always soft lock enabled, and max possible rotation on your wheel.

Thanks guys! Soft lock it is. Can't wait until tomorrow!

It requires lots of work, and muscle memory, but you will love it! Only during the summer it's a nuance cause your body will be sweaty, hehe.

@Ge0force ...if you're really hardcore (and want more feedback), up the "strength" of your wheel. I have used 130% on my wheel; it is more of a work-out. ;)

Don't do that. It will wear out the hardware much faster.

Oh, yes, the excessive wear'n'tear is an obvious downside. (After having driven 40.000kms+ with the same wheel, it felt okay for me, but it is a question of long-term economy.)

The steering is really light in Rally cars o not much FFB is more realistic. At least it was in the RS2000 Rally car i drove on gravel track at Silverstone.

This. And if you have a H-shifter then use it for manual cars while driving sequential cars sequential. I hope DR2 automatically switches like DR1 did and Dirt 4 did not.

It's authentic, trying to replicate the real driving experience as close as possible, and it also makes cars more different from each other, driving a modern 540° sequential is entirely different from a vintage 1080° manual which it should be.

the one you feel confortable, i use 540, but its up to you really

I don't have a H-shifter (yet) but yeah, I'd like to have a more authentic experience. Game is downloading now, I'm so excited!
