Hot seat-option
Is there a hot seat option like Colin Mcrae Rallies once had in the past? So that you can drive against your friends? Dirt Rally 1 lacks this option unfortunately. How is it with DR 2.0?

No, the technology just isn't there yet.

There’s none in for launch, would be one of my personal most wanted features to be added later down the line.

Sadly Codemasters can't see this scenario

I remember people asked for this during DR1 early access, but they couldn't make it. The most fun I had with CMR 2.0 was when I had a bunch of friends over to do some manually logged hot-seat rallies. I think hot-seat works really well with rallying.

I know it won't happen... but should also have option to save record times for multiple profile names. We used to drive Dirt Rally with bunch of friends, so that we wrote our record times on paper (because there was many different skill levels playing, so competing against each other was pointless). But if the game would record the times, and you could login/log out 1-8 different profiles in Hotseat, all with separate stats, it would be perfect

How the ♥♥♥♥ is it hard to just get off your ass after a friend plays and let them do
the same stage?

Then you gotta type times on paper. Especially if there's more than 2 people, you won't remember everyone's exact time, by the time last guy finishes

Would be far more convenient for the game to do the bookkeeping for you, and it's not even big effort from a developer.

Or, if you want to do a small championship with multiple friends, where damage mitigates into next stage, you have to do repairs if you broke your car etc.

They can't remember their own times? Or you can't write them on paper? Jesus gamers average IQs have really tanked the last few years.

That is a lot of time NOT spent on actual gameplay features for something you can easily do yourself. Under no circumstances should this idea even be considered.
