T500RS control panel:
900°; 60%; 100%; 100%; 0%; 0%
Config file:
ffb_force="1.7" -> Thats because of 60% overall force in the control panel.
So I took the default ffb_force="1" and devided it by 0.6 (60%) and ended up at ffb_force="1.7".
Ingame:
Calibrated the wheel! and adjust sensitivity (I use 25 with my 900° so that I do not need to take hands off the wheel)
SAT: 100 (would not go lower than 80 because all the feeling comes from here)
Wheel Friction: 0 (do not need damping here)
Tyre Friction: 100 (whatever this does?)
Suspension: 100 (may increase this, however some grounds have strange feeling at higher level)
Collision: 1 (do not wanna hurt my wrists)
Soft Lock: 0 (hammers around when turned on, do not like it)
Steering Centre Force Enabled: Off
1080°(with soft lock in-game) 95%, 95%, 95%, 95%, 95%
Feels pretty good in-game, and is also pretty easy to remember when I need to change back after played differant games...
you should not go over 60% main force in control panel, because above the wheel tends to clipping.
after tuning around a lot, i ended up to ingame default settings (all set to 100) and changed only wheel friction, colliision and soft lock (see above).
additionally i tweaked the config file because of the 60% main force in control panel.
i believe the game has its default settings for a reason, so mainly default should be the best with little adjustments.
Mr Codemaster: are you kidding us ??
never buy another of your game brefore 6 months of fixing everything
Config file, ffb_force "5.0"
In game :
SAT 35
wheel friction 5
Tyre friction 20
Suspension 110
Tyre slip 20
Engine 0
Collision 40
Soft lock 25
With this, cars feeling is really good for me. You really feel weight transfer. Adjust how hard you want with SAT cursor.
But ground feeling isn't the same as DR1 (I heard that it was a totally fake effect added)
Try my settings and give me feedback plz.
Have fun guys
I tried all off this stuff, but for me increasing the ffb_force in config file too much comes with strange ffb feelings at higher level so that I believe you should keep this as low as possible.
so for your SAT with 35 and config "5.0" (=175) you almost end up at the same level as my SAT 100 with "1.7" in config file (=170).
If you have no problem with that high suspension ffb (I had wierd feeling there) you could also go with a "3.7" in config file and adjust suspension to the max of 150. SAT would be 47 then, and so on for the others...
