... and so?

Well, why anything would require so much space. What can you store on almost 100GB. It's 2 blueray disks. I haven't seen anything so much space consuming in my life, not even close. FOr me it's a problem

When playing against others, even if they've only paid for the base game, any player can play on any track that the host has. This is done so the online playerbase (which is already struggling) isn't split into pieces.

For that to work, everyone who owns the game downloads all content, paid and unpaid. So far there are, I think, 12 rally and 12 rallycross stages.

Not even counting the cars or anything else in the game, 4GB per entire location is pretty good if you ask me.

Lets take note at how cheap storage is today. 100GB should not be a big deal. Can you afford $1? That's about how much it would cost for that 100GB on a standard mechanical.

About a penny per gb on a mechanical, an ssd is about 8 cents per gb and if you want something a little better with an m.2 you are talking a whopping 9 cents per gb.

Yes it is huge, just a tad smaller that RDR2. Perhaps if you ask the publisher they will make it smaller for you. Tell them I'd like that too.

It may well be 130GB before next Rally game chimes in.

Yeah, then we'll have to go through this all again...

Comparison to DR1 with 40Gigs its just too much too much.
Axe Jan 6, 2020 @ 12:20am
How can you just arbitrarily compare it to a totally different game. That's just silly.

Compared to Pong it's way too much. When does it all stop?

What actually is 'too much' and who decides? It it's too much then just install it.

If the the game takes up too much space then it wouldn't be the game it is or even a game as it would be a pile of non working code although laughingly that's what CM puke out these days.

Although I'm pizzed we have to download it all even though some of us don't need the half of it. One thing I would like is to not have to download the MP stuff as I have no intention of playing it at all. But if I changed my mind I could just DL the MP 'module' so to speak.

Listening CM? Naa I thought not...

Compare with PS4 CoD, Ghost recon, ...around 170-200 GB ? I must now add an external drive. So why so many useless threads about DR 2.0 size and its updates?
Diwiak Jan 6, 2020 @ 2:07am
Hey and whats so diferrent? Dont see much, costing 60gigs :steammocking:

Not really. DR1 had 10 locations. DR2 has 24, at higher quality.

?? You mean with all DLC? Or you mean the same stages only reversed shortened etc..? I dont own Seasons only basic game, still 100Gigs. If you mean nicer trees and crowd, allright, but 60Gigs more...?... Youtube for some comparison videos, its really not that different.
