You can't, and Codies obviously don't know how to fix it. Moving it to the side does not
solve the problem, as many of the actions in the menus will put it back in the middle of
the screen without notice. This is way too easy to forget since you can't see it.
I'm placing the mouse on a roll of Tape. The roll is larger than the mouse which makes
it easy to grab it with thumb and little finger while holding the mouse. This makes it easy
to move it out of the way when I want to use the mouse, or grab it when I want to place
the mouse on it. This is not much harder than lifting the mouse to re-grab the mouse
pointer, or adjusting direction while playing shooters. Or you may just keep the roll in a
placed where it's not in the way when you use your mouse.
If you have steering wheel attached to your desk and have your mouse on the desk too,
vibrations from the wheel will trigger the mouse, in particular if you have high DPI setting
and your desk is not made of Granit.
Problem is that it will move back to the middle of the screen by itself. Like if you Alt+Enter to desktop and back, or if you change FPS in Settings. Unless you remember to always check before you start the stage, you will get it on screen in the most distracting moment. I used
to put the pointer in the top right corner, but many times I got it in the middle anyway, because
something moved it back, or I forgot.
Safest way is to elevate the mouse so it does not trigger when the desk is vibrating.
(As explained in my previous post).
