Monthly AI Challenge - what's the point?

Why am I supposed to play Monthly AI Challenge if It's almost impossible to beat even the slowest AI times? Which dumb Codemasters employee decided, that AI times in monthly challenge should be calculated based on the fastest real world player? Just look at the AI times comparison to top leaderboards players (and yes, this is how it works on all stages I played):

The AI times is way slower, except for 1st place. 6th place AI is a lot slower slower than
12 the place "IRL". Not sure what you expect? To be number 1? :D

Also, if you don't like it, don't play it. At least there are different things to do for different players.
It's nice with some challenges for the fast guys also, don't you think? Maybe this challenge fits
you better when you get better at driving. Not trying to be rude.. :)

The AI difficulty for the H1 FWD class is basically broken.

It's weird that only like top 0,1% of players can get somewhere between top 15 AI times, don't you think? Why bother with monthly challenges if I have to memorize all the tracks and know all the shortcuts on all stages to get some reasonable results?

AI challenges are supposed to be oriented on SP players, where only difference is, that you are not allowed to restart stages. That's how daily and weekly challenges work. Why not monthly challenge as well? There is a lot of other monthly challenges for players with level-alien (or asian?) skills.

If you play the game enough, in the end you will memorize the tracks, that's just how it is. What really breaks this game is the endless possibilities to shotcut all over. The trackdesigners on some stages must be influenced by the Forza Horizon games.

Only reason I do the monthly weekly and daily things is because I hate the SP career, and to get the for credits that come with them.

To me it's all just a vacant, empty, dreary chore.

Lets not forget who this rally series of games was based on. There IS a difference between cutting and shortcuts. People seem to IMAGINE the rules rather than relying on facts here in
the forums. Massive cutting is still a thing IRL. I have not seen many shortcuts in the game,
but they need to get closed. Driving through the woods can save 2-3 seconds in some places.

Yep, this AI monthly challenge was tough. I am proud to have reached the 28th position against the AI :))) at least I start memorizing the tracks...still crashing at the same spots...bloody trees and stones.
