Load Times improved
My track loading times seem to have improved by 30% or so, how's it been for everyone else? I haven't played this in a while, not sure which patch would've done it.

Can not confirm this yet. Loading times in general feel long to me.

My loading times are still too long. Been like this since Monte Carlo DLC / patch.
I have a loading time of less than 30 second. I think i load fast enough. Meaning upgrade your potato.

I also have around 30 seconds and I don't even have an SSD, so I'm perfectly content. Haven't noticed any improvements though.

Loads in 10 secs or less, for me, in a mechanical HD

Step 1: Open Dirt Rally 2.0

Step 2: Open Task Manager

Step 3: Go to "Details"

Step 4: Right click on "dirtrally2.exe"

Step 5: Click on "Set affinity"

Step 6: Disable "CPU 0"

Thank you very much. Stage loading time is now 4 seconds not five, or six, but the most important thing is, that stuttering is completely gone now.. When I slided through a curve, I always had stuttering.
Thanks again, mate.:steamhappy:

Nice. Forgot about that trick. Current load times are now fast enough that I'm no longer annoyed, but of course I want em faster

Thank you so much for this great tip which I tried with a big satisfaction ! ;-)

Wow, why does that make such a difference? And how to permanently set it that way?

Tells your CPU to focus more on the dirtrally2.exe processes. To make it stick, you have to edit the Windows registry, I believe, which can be really confusing unless you're experienced.

I know messing *with the affinity & priority stuff can increase the performance in some games slightly and reduce stuttering in others, but I've never seen load times cut in half from this before, in anything. It's bizarre.

Oh yeah, good point. I'm not sure exactly what's going on there either

EDIT: My bad, I was thinking of the "Set Priority" option in task manager

This one sounds ridicoulesly stupid...

But it works for me!

My loading time got reduced by almost 50%. I am running an outdated AMD FX 8350 @ 4,4 GHz. It would be of most importance to know the config the OP runs. This might be one most significant find regarding the engine's lack of capability to use multiple CPU cores.

And IF this complies mostly to AMD users: there might have shown a point to react to, leading to a better exprerience for users of the PS4.
