sequential stick and paddles
Hello,
has anybody a solution for having both sequential stick and paddle shift?
In DR1 I used the Logitech Profiler to remap the buttons.
So when i pressed the paddles it simulated that i used the stick, but DR2.0 doesn't do that.
It still shows the input as paddles.

Look in main game files steam>steam apps>common>dirt rally2
You should find a folder ‘inputs’. Find the file “lg_driving_force_gt.xml”. Open with note pad and look for these lines:
………………
<Action id="Gear Up">
<Axis id="di_button_4" />
<Axis id="di_button_12" />
</Action>
<Action id="Gear Down">
<Axis id="di_button_5" />
<Axis id="di_button_13" />
………………..
This would show dual commands for shifting. The button numbers in these files will be one digit less than the actual number on your wheel. If it only shows the commands for button 4 and 5, add the additional commands for 12 and 13. Save before exit.

Me This work no1 paddle shift and my sequentiel, do you setup both in the menu of DR2 for your wheel and your sequentiel stick ?

Thanks for that link, but I'm not sure if it helps, as both paddles and stick are on the same steering wheel.
Or do you mean that i should add the steering wheel a second time, only mapping the shift buttons?

Does the Logitech Profiler allow you to map them together, a check box within the app?

What logitech wheel u got?

i got a driving force gt

in the profiler, i created a command which presses button 14 (upshift on the stick) and assigned it the upshift paddle.

I was thinking it's that one. Since that wheel got paddles and seq stick on the wheel base it could be using same inputs for those functions in games and u can't separate them.

the profiler also has a function to map it to a keyboard button like 'joy to key' (i guess)
Edit:
It finally works, I just mapped the downshift panel to N and upshift to J, like in the keyboard settings.
But when i restart the game, it's gone again, the game recognizes the paddles as the buttons on the wheel, rather than on the keyboard.

in Steam\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally 2.0\input\actionmaps are xmls for each wheel, but the only logitech wheels are g25 and g27.
i will create such a file for my wheel and try this

You should be able to copy the basic commands from the DR1 xml file to save some time.

And look at 2.4- Device history in the link I provided above. You may need to remove your prior config save for the new one takes hold.

“Multi-Input Device System for DiRT Rally 2.0 -PC| May 16, 201962.4 Device History. The final tab in Device Settings is Device History. Here you can see all devices that have previously been connected to the game. This allows you to disconnect and delete any device that may have developed any issues and then reconnect it to set them up again. Devices will only appear in this menu when they are no longer connected and can be deleted via the Delete Device tool tip.”
