DiRT Rally 2.0, Version 1.6: Bug Reporting Thread
IMPORTANT: Read and understand this entire opening post before replying, as providing the right amount of detail will help out the team immensely in tracking and resolving any bugs that arise, thanks.


Hello everyone.

Version 1.6 of DiRT Rally 2.0 is available now and contains a number of features and bug fixes based on community feedback. The full patch notes can be found here:

The DiRT team is always on the look-out for any bugs or issues that arise as a result of updates, so if you have come across any please post them in here. Your contributions to previous threads have been very useful in helping the team plan not only for version 1.6 but additional updates in the future.



Before posting, please make sure to follow these guidelines. Without adequate information the team will have trouble identifying and fixing bugs, so please provide as much info as you can:


. Check if a bug has already been reported.

. If a bug has been reported and you are experiencing the same issue, quote it and say that it's happening for you too.

. Don't quote posts for the sake of them, only quote ones you're actually experiencing.

. The more popular bug posts will have a better chance of catching the attention of the team.

. If a bug cannot be reproduced, it cannot be fixed.

. When you experience a bug, please try to trigger said bug again if you can, and show us the steps you went through to trigger it.

. Text steps are good, video even better.

. One post per bug please, for our tracking purposes.



Please also provide the following:

. Your PC specs.

. Whether you're a Standard or Deluxe user.

. Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc.

And still nothing about the Wipers??? 😳
montalegra ralllycross circuit just continous at the loadimg screen.. i have lowered all my graphical settimg.. which has not made a difference.. my pc specs are- AMD FX-8350 eight core processor x8 4.00ghz.. 16gb ram.. 1tb harddrive.. 64 - bit operating system(win 7).. AMD Radeon R9 380 4-8gb available graphics memory..

The sound cut out bug really made the game unplayable for me. Switching audio output resolve temporary, but when you have to do it in the middle of a stage it totally ruins your drive flow...

Changing through the camera options in a rally and suddenly the bonnet cam was missing the actual bonnet.

You people are really a waste of space aren't you... :-/

It's a tricky bug because of how unpredictable it is.

I *think* the team's getting a handle on it now, but it won't be resolved in Version 1.7.
And the Wiper issue?

I think the wipers will be completely removed from DR3.0 :-D

Can we get vertical adjustment for dash cam please? Some dash cam placements are terrible.

I was running event in Australia with Lancia Stratos and even though I used Soft tires every time, it showed Medium tires as used after every segment in service area.

please respond PJ if you are going to look into this.

Accuforce user, with Sim Commander, My FFB is via the foundation force feedback, (in game FFB is off and game FFB also off in the Simex profiler)

So it is telemetry based FFB and although is quite excellent, there is a huge problem with a massive spike in FFB output at screen change and menu change, at end of stage and to lesser degree when the timer appears at stage start this also flicks the wheel.

This FFB output spike is serious my wheel spins at full force to it's preset stop and bounces back and spins the other way, one rotation each. This isn't a wheel or sim commander fault for sure.

The output spike is coming from the game 100%.

Other accuforce users I know have the same issue. It really could cause an injury.

I guess I could video this if it helps you to understand the problem.

This is happening with my Fanatec DD2 as well. For example, starting a stage, even with the wheel centered. It jars very violently right or left by 45 degrees.
I can't find if it has been already reported.
Between two consecutive steps, without service area, the gearbox setting returns to default. At least in two club championships: Monaro with wrc 2000 and Baumholer in R2
I thought it was just a moment with my Fanatec V2, but now reading the above, add me to the list of random wheel turn.
