I never knew this was a real thing. So I looked it up on the good ol youtube and man it looks even crazier watching the real thing! Makes me want to try a championship now but is going to be a hell of a time learning to control that much power and rwd on the gravel/snow events.
Check out this video if you are interested, im pretty sure its the porsche in the game and the stage looks crazy fun.

For me it's a pain in the butt with the Porche and the Aston Martin etc.

Total overpowered and tedious to control :steamfacepalm: :steamhappy:

They're individually licensed by the FIA to compete in events. They're also rather rare since they only compete in tarmac rallies where some of them have actually shown quite a bit of potential. However they're really more or less there to entertain the crowds since World Rall Cars with their advanced 4WD, anti lag and what not will be quicker.

The Aston Martin was actually used too. Some crazy Finnish dude built it or something

Aston Martin -here- is a versatile machine. I love its existence in DR2.0. The thing i do not like about its existence is same rim colors for every livery, and very little livery options for it. But the car itself is too good to deny.

If I had a clue how to set up and tame these raw monsters I might has some sympathy for their existence :lunar2019grinningpig:

Taming the Porsche is all in the right foot and not overdoing your steering input.
You need a bit of power to keep the back down so you have grip in the corners but you need the opposite for turn-in. Turn-in or throttle too early and it's gone though.

The Aston is pretty simple for gravel - Raise the ride height somewhere around the 16-20mm mark. Then it'll handle beautifully and the bumps wont kill it either. Be very light when you want the power to get the butt out.

I'm by no means an expert but this is what gets me through the stages in these cars.

Thanks for that. I did mean to mention (but typically forgot) that as a keyboard user still at present I am aware and fully admit I don't have the same control as wheel users and I'm sure controller users.

I'm trying to get bothered enough to plug in the G27 :lunar2019grinningpig:

I was a keyboard player too. Game convinced me to get a G29 and I absolutely love it. I would safely say that the Porsche is safely off limits as a keyboard player. It was almost impossible to control since it requires so much finesse. Even with a wheel and tame right foot it can be a struggle.

I finished the whole championship with 911 and liked it only in Spain (obviously). Even after that much time with it, I couldn't really appreciate it. It simply felt too big with long nose, which made corner slides even more difficult.
I tried all GT cars briefly to see, if some of them might be more manageable on tight rally roads and Aston Martin seemed like a much more balanced car and overall better choice in this class and honestly like the only GT car I would be willing to drive, if I would return to this class for next championship.
(Xone gamepad driver here, without touching any car tuning)

The Aston Martin I think really is the easiest to drive, but the Camaro is the best because there's nothing like a 6l V8 *rawr*

Yeah i have the same problem with the 911 but its partially to the Rear engine design its a whole different style even on tarmac but the aston martin is surprisingly easy atleast on the test drive sector. Also X-one controller here too. Plus even as an american in the south I've always loved Aston Martins mostly because of the sweet exhaust note. I hear enough camaros and mustangs in my every day life lol.

And, that Aston Martin looks terrific with black. If only we could select colors for rims independent of liveries.

Within PC gaming, since my first driven Aston Martin (a DB7) inside NFS3:Hot Pursuit, i liked all Astons in whatever game i have played. Here is no exception. :shmedallion:
I gave a try with both porsche and aston. Both cars feel so heavy it understeer like crazy. I ended up using the camaro. Its way easier to keep it straight. Its does some understeer but nothing compare to the porsche or aston. I actually can make drift without oversteer. I couldnt even think trying to drift with others gt cars.

Even their V12's sound amazing and have a deep roar to them. I have no idea how they manage that instead of the usual scream a V12 has. I think the Aston engineers are actually wizards.

Jack up the accell on the diff then add a little to toe to preference to tame the oversteer
