Constant vibration on controller, is this normal?
Just coming back to game after a long hiatus (waiting for bugs to be fixed and new content to be added). I'm playing with a PS4 controller through DS4Windows (emulates a 360 controller for better compatibility), the game plays and controls fine, but the rumble/vibration seems like it's backwards; my controller is constantly vibrating while driving, but stops vibrating when I go over bumps, run off the road, or hit something. Seems like it should be the other way around. Is there a way to fix this? Or is that how it's supposed to be?

It's not related to the surface i'm driving on, even on smooth tarmac the controller vibrates like i'm driving over really bumpy/rocky terrain.

I've tried playing with the PS4 controller without using DS4Windows, and the game recognises it, but rumble/vibration is completely disabled, so that's no good.

Unfortunately no, if you're having the same problem all I can suggest is to play the game with a different controller. This issue with the DS4 is rare but shows up in a handful of games, I've experienced it in Grid (2019) as well as Dakar 18, and once in a much older game (F1 2011). I have no idea what causes it.

Immesurable thanks for your reply after so many years. I’ll try a different controller when I get the chance, for now I’ll toggle down the vibration to a manageable level
