Launching directly into VR from shortcut (Steam)

Before the update my desktop shortcut would launch directly in VR which was great (for me but not for everyone). Now I have to take a few steps to do it, open steam library, find DR2, right click and launch in VR.

Is there a way to make a shortcut I can just click to do all this? I tried setting vr-enabled=true in the config but it was already true so that's not helping.

edit your desktop shortcut and set it like this

for steamVR: steam://launch/690790/vr

for Oculus: steam://launch/690790/othervr

690790 is the steam ID of this game

OH that's great, didn't know you can just add /vr.

So I tired that and it didn't actually work. Tried with launching SteamVR first too but it said '"you are launching in desktop mode but it has native support" etc.

i know im late to the party but i just got dirt rally 2.0 and it keeps launching vr as a flat window thats not vr is that a way to fix it to have actual VR

You'll probably have to fiddle around with some stuff I guess but it does play in a window (floating windows) initially until you actually start a race.
