Superhot MCD is more like a rogue-like, I suppose. You traverse a map, tackling short, basic levels in random order trying to survive them all without losing all your hearts. MCD also has more content.
Both have endless modes.
Really it's up to you. Whichever sounds more interesting. Look up gameplay if you can't decide.
I will say, the original Superhot's campaign is extremely short. To get the most out of it, you have to play the challenges or REALLY love Endless mode.
Exactly. SH is just too short. Back when I had the game pirated, I remember that it took me about two days to finish it for the first time (not as in 48 hours, more like two 3 hours long sessions in two days).
As for speedrunning; I remember trying to get into glitchless speedrunning through this game, it was extremely easy, but I forgot to record my time (just in about 3-4 hours of time). As far as I understand, there isn´t even a glitchless speedrun category for this game, as pretty much noone was interested in doing that. If you want a good game for glitchless speedrunning, it´s either this, Portal, or Superliminal (Portal being the hardest one to remember out of the three).
