Great game, with serious flaws.

I have always loved this game way back when i played it. But ater replaying it again today there are some pretty glaring problems with the game. Namely the jungle missions "say hello to my little friend" in particular. I'm findiong the AI pretty bad in how it recognises you as a threat, you can do absoultely nothing wrong and they will aggro on you for no reason. struggling to finish this mission because of it. I killed the drug lord without raising any suspicion inside and out of the house, went and planted the bomb in the lab without issue, started making my way to the airfield and then all of the sudden all the guard towers start shooting at me for seemingly no reason followed by an alert noise and message in the corner that said "The guards have been alearted by the shooting" Got killed then the game crashed. Other than these little issues and the jungle missions which i loath this game is great, and was only made better in its sequels.

i cant even get past this mission, everyone headshots me with ak's, my armor never goes down but im dead in 3-4 hits. i used to fly through all of these missions as a kid, i dont know what changed but its definitely not the same game anymore. even their reaction times. I get shot before i even finish turning the corner

i luv<3 the jungle missions, i can't stand the Rotterdam or the last Hong kong missions

Jungle ones were... annoying to say the least. Plutonium runs loose is the worst, I can barely get on the ship with the sailors outfit before something goes horribly wrong. And I have to restart the 5 minutes of piggy-backing through the gates just to get to the ship!

I still beat the game with a knife without being hit once, if I do get hit - I restart the mission. It's fun. I'm not even sure what will happen if I get a single gun. I can't see how this game could be difficult at all.

It's a fun and easy to play shooter if you know your way around. Very satisfying gunfights. That's why I keep coming back to it.

Can you even beat the jungle levels with stealth?
I remember the final one beign the hardest level in the game

I just finished this mission today. If the guards are alerted, you did some mistake somewhere. Maybe you triggered the bomb while one guard could see you. Surest way for me was to trigger the bomb just a few seconds before entering the airplane. Or there was a shot going outside the window while killing the drug lord, the guards in the watch towers notice it and identify
you in the mansion with their x-ray eyes and they don't forget - the game is a little bit unfair at this point.

I agree without the COD part. I dont play COD but I have the same problems. I used to be better than the most fierce youtuber at ANY game ESPECIALLY hitman, FPS, etc. Now the only games I play well are turn based strategy games and survival games. I have 18, 19 year old friends who school me on FPS and I see them getting slower now too. We play Insurgency together. In gamers years it seems 21 is middle aged and about 24 is the new "50". I think I may retire to turn based strategy games pretty damn soon. I used to kick serious butt and be able to play entire run throughs of hitman games in just a few hours, now it takes a week per game.
