Can't interact with the U'wa tribe at all

Okay, so I've been playing Codename 47 for the last few days and it's been fun but now I have a problem. I've reached the Colombia section and found the U'wa tribe, got the idol and freed the chieftain's brother. The problem is that even with these things done I can't interact with the dude at all. He looks at you but doesn't say anything, I found a similar issue addressed elsewhere and the recommendation was to restart the mission and get the idol first. Tried that but it didn't work.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? It's really starting to bug me.

Have you tried limiting your FPS? It's usually the first thing I try, since a lot of old games seem to behave strangely on newer PCs that can run them over 60fps, and H2SA has a mission that is totally broken with over 30fps, so maybe that might help here

Nope, oddly enough I did the mission again after I posted this topic and one of the tribe's warriors came to speak to me which got the ball rolling.

Had that happen before; a game suddenly fixes itself after making a thread about it. Least it's workin now
