Help with the action button

[Hunting For Tea]

I'm on the second mission after struggling through the first. I can't seem to open doors or place the car bomb. I'm presing the action botton which does nothing. I also tried the right mouse botton which did bring up an options menu but I can't select any of the options. I tried pressing every botton on the keyboard but nothing works. can anyone help?

You have to equip the bomb and place it where the driver seat is.
