The controls are a bit clunky (as if they were made for controller users) but the keyboard controls are still fine and I'm definetly better at playing the game with a keyboard honestly. Controller support would've been nice but proper mouse and keyboard support is obviously preferred to minimal mouse and keyboard support and the option of using a controller. Regardless: there's multiple external free programs you can use if you wish to use a controller.
Achievements? Meh. The Steam release came a while after the PC retail release so expectations of achievements were minimal. It's also worth considering that the Hitman HD Trilogy came out way after the Steam release. I personally wish for a HD remastering of the titles for PC, mainly so technical and gameplay bugs are fixed, but this version of Blood Money is the best. The console versions have quite a few problems including a hz issue and lag when the game gets divided into 2 screens to show the player important events occuring on the map.
The Mardi Gras mission is probably the worst offender when it comes to the draw distance and the only mission to have "stick legs". Everything you've said is valid but I wish we could address this via. the game's files or something. I've seen no such fixes thus far though.
The thing is, Blood Money with keyboard and mouse I find perfect, just like the others hitman games, just to be able to aim perfectly using the mouse, instead of the right analogue stick.
If you're good with a mouse and keyboard you should be able to do well in any PC game IMHO. I've braved through far worse controls in PC games :P.
[EDIT]:
BM's just a bit clunky (moreso than the previous Hitman games I think) but it's still very much playable on PC.

Still, you're getting a better game that Absolution so just embrace the ole'fashioned pc culture and appreciate what you're about to penetrate.
Xbox and Gamecube were great, PS2 was horrible. I realize PS2 had the biggest game library and most sales but that certainly doesn't mean it had the best quality of hardware or software by any means. PS2 was so soft-pixeled and low-res that it hurt my eyes after playing the original Xbox or Gamecube. Yeah, they all ran at the same res at the end but that emotion engine in the PS2 was definitive crap. I experienced the same thing play 360/PS3 because of the native 720p software, it would just hurt my eyes after playing a while. Thankfully I game in 4k now, my eyes are in F#$%ing heaven! :D
