FIxed it for you ^^^^^^^
Go to guides tab up there ^^ and install the sweetfx tweak and then in game after you start it up you go to render options in graphics and behold an entirely new set of options and the game looks incredible. If you click my avatar thing I just uploaded 3 screenshots, you can see what the game looks like to me with sweetfx and the new options, I could even turn it up more, but I don't see a reason, it looks great to me like I have it, I personally hate shadows in any game, they seem to stress the gpu and dont add to the game just get in the way.
sweetFX doesnt count at "legit 1080p" but thanks anyway ill try it for craps and giggles. Technically its impossible for blood money to have 1080 when 1600X1200 was its original max resolution and your pictures prove what i was suspecting was going to happen and the textures are washed out when you try to render them above the original res (this game was PS2 era).
Full HD, or the High Definition term in general is marketing spin.
Just FYI, also like I said and you can see, I do not have every option ramped up to max as far as textures being "washed out". If I did then maybe you have the "proof" you are looking for, this entire encounter is on the verge of silly.
Bottom line for anybody that cares is, install the sweetfx mod and run the game and it will go full screen at 1080 and it looks much better.
The resolution of the screen itself is the last thing to be used in this situation to measure the objective "1080p" and running your pictures through photoshop i already can see the errors caused by SweetFX in the image (standard dithering of textures which to you appear smooth but to me are grainy and washed out) due to the fact the texture res for each object is probably pitifully low while youre SweetFX is trying via algorithim to componsate for the lack of resolution on the asset and make it look better which it does alright.
This isnt exactly a bad thing but its a far cry from actual 1080p assets and textures already designed into the game. Think of DSfix as an example of a true "take the D3D9.dll" (i think thats what it modified) and basically force the game to 1080p as well all the textures and stuff as well (That is why certin objects even with DSfix look ugly as the game itself overall had 1080p and such assets but major chunks had low res textures that were just obvious even with the DSfix.
Ive ran SweetFX myself on my hitman game, it does what i expect it scaled the screen better then the in-game scaler (using the DX9.dll file) thus producing 1080p spacial resolution (real 1080p) but the assets in the game i wish had taken better to SweetFX but only so much can be done. So far there are no graphical overall themselves (full replace asset) mods for this game.
Bottom Line: Game will work at full screen 1920x1080 using sweetfx and it looks much better then the original, so if you want more options in the graphical (thats a real word I googled it) part of this awesome game install sweetfx and have better looking fun.
i wanted to see if SweetFX was a type of injector or manipulated the DX9.DLL to which as expected it manipulated the DLL similar to how DSfix did which is really cool and i never said anything wrong with it just that is was there. It being there and being wrong are not the same.
This is why i had used photoshop as if i go in close i can see the low res assets in detail which is to be expected when the game is at 1080p and your rock is at 200px for example.
It did its job it gave spacial resolution (1080p) without the blurring effect of a scaler which makes SweetFX a good choice for this game. if only ENB and SweetFX creator would work together.
Yeah, not normal behavior.
You are dripping with crazy.
