Hitman: Blood Money

Agent 47 was Wounded?
I just finished the mission "Curtains Down" and on a cutscene Diana asks Agent 47 how his wound is doing... Why does he ask this and when was he wounded?

You probably got shot during the mission.

There's a cutscene at the end of "Curtains Down" showing Agent 47 walking away from the opera. Seconds later a cop appears and reloads his pistol before the cutscene ends. I always presumed the cop knew about Agent 47 and tried to eliminate him. But he failed obviously and was only able to injure 47.

The Outcome of the wound is depicted in the last mission of Hitman Contracts "Hunter and Hunted" in an Hotel Room in Paris.

Yeah, I saw somebody load a gun, just didn't know if he shot Agent 47.
I mean I guess I could've used some common sense but lol, thanks.

I have Contracts, and I read online that apparently Agent 47 is having flashbacks because he is injured. So the last mission shows where and when he gets shot?
Not really but you get an overall during the mission,*Spoiler* You actually face a siege by the French GIGN and Police while you are wounded in the hotel room, and on the mission briefing you see the dead targets, wich you kill on "Curtains Down" on Blood Money( to the expection of the tenor, that in Contracts is a portuguese Tenor but in BM is an italian one,so Contracts complements Blood Money.

Contracts came out before Blood Money. So Blood Money itself is basically a prequel?
I know, still, these 2 missions are matching in terms of storyline, just play Hunter and Hunted and curtains down and you will see hunter and hunted completes the logical thinking of the BM mission, and the evidence to that is that the objectives in the Hunter mission are already marked done on the 2 assassinations targets, wich you killed at curtains down, note that the name and country of the singer change from contracts to BM.

Like some other people have said, Curtains Down takes place before the present time of Contracts.
Play and finish Curtains Down, then start up Hitman: Contracts and don't skip the cinematic explaining how a handgun works, the shot and screams you hear belong to the offscreen scene of 47 getting shot by that police officer, causing a few people to panic.
47 can get away, but collapses in his hotel room as you can see in the following intro sequence of Contracts.

I don't know at what day exactly Curtains Down takes place (I think it doesn't get mentioned in neither Contracts nor Blood Money), but 47 accepts the contract on March 17, 2004.
Flatline, the mission after Curtains Down and 47's escape from France, takes place on March 31. That's 2 weeks, so of course Diana has to ask if he's doing well.

The timeline of Hitman games is quite confusing.

you can easily match up Blood Money and Contracts Story as one...

It isn't too complicated. The timeline goes like this in chronological order:
Codename 47's "Training" -> HITMAN's Prologue -> The rest of Codename 47 -> Silent Assassin -> Blood Money's "Death of the Showman", "A Vintage Year", "Curtains Down" -> Contracts -> rest of Blood Money -> Absolution -> the rest of HITMAN.

you obviously have not played Contracts. The cop that shoots you in the paris mission of blood money is the guy who shoots you in Contracts. All of contracts is about bleeding out on the table remembering the past year or so and then escaping the hotel after being stitched up. play the game, its clunky but worth it if you like retro gaming and hitman. contracts was the second best hitman until the new game. Now that the new game is finished I consider the new game to be second best only coming in SLIGHTLY behind blood money. The new game is actually pretty effin cool man, try it out, and contracts.

you got this right but Absolution CAN be considered non canon. Some devs have said its non canon and some have said its canon but that the new game ignores the events of the game. Some fans speculate the new game is moving in a direction that will retcon Absolution as a mere pivot or even a non canon spin off. Either way, its been said by IO devs that you can safely consider the game non canon and not miss anything.

Yeah I've played Contracts. I've beaten it. It's in my Games.
