How do I skip levels?

You can't skip levels mate... but there may be mods to do that but i'm not entirely sure.

So is the gog.com version diffrent from the steam version

The cheat commands should be exactly the same, but you don't actually have to do the tutorial level. You can back out, select your difficulty, then select "A Vintage Year" which is the real first level of the game.

They are probably the same versions on both GOG and Steam as the game was released 15 years ago. If your version is v1.2, the cheat console hack shown in my first link won't work so either try the other option shown in the second link I posted or forget about cheats and just do what the above poster suggested to skip the tutorial level.

Uh no, I started a new game, saved then exited the game, clicked on the diffuculty I was on when I made the new game, and it took me to the tutorial level with no choice, it didnt even save the save I made.
