Rumor has it that it was delayed due to developmental issues
We are not having issues but rather decided to make a non-vr version of JetX, so you can play with your friends, who are not owning a VR headset.
This call was made due to a very low online on VR multiplayer games. And this is the only way we can solve it.
This won't take too long. I think we will release in 2-3 weeks.
I think you are talking about VR having 6DoF for the headset. That's like talking about the play function of a VCR tape while selling a movie, or that your gun is able to fire projectiles while selling an FPS. The ability to rotate your head a basic component of VR. When a dev talks about 6DoF in their game, generally this is talking about a disconnect between the RL and VR point of views. An astronaught spinning in space in all directions. A pilot doing a barrel roll.
If I hold the controllers to my sides and turn them in opposite directions, this should cause a turn on the player. If 1 pointing up, the other down, this should change where "down" is from my point of view. If one forward and one backward, this should change which direction is "north". The thrusters only alter 3 Degrees of freedom. x, y, and z. Pitch, roll and yaw are headset movement only.
Very few VR games do 6DoF, and for good reason. Adding locomotion room motion into a game reduces your audience by a third to motion sickness. Doing 6DoF drops half the audience as unable to play.
