The Privacy Policy you have to agree to play this game like to talk about how they will collect your data, sell it to those that ask for it, and you have no privacy.

This is a good - but not great - game for genre. I would give it a 6.5/10 score. It's closest comparable game is Frostpunk - but it's definitely not as good. That being said, it's still fun to play, and I have zero regrets for buying it (along with all the DLCs) on sale. If you liked Frostpunk and want to play something more "open-world", this is a good option. Unlike Frostpunk, you can expand your settlement as much as you want. You are not space constrained. If you dislike survival oriented city builders, this is definitely not for you.

After 14 hours of game play (and lots of restarts), I have only managed to make it to mid-game before everything collapses - so this review is based a limited experience. I will probably play it a total of ~20-30 hours before i retire it. I think that makes it a good game - working out to under $1/hour.

Overall, it's a good game. Zero bugs. Zero crashes. Game plays at a good pace, and it's fun to build up the city and explore the surrounding world.

Now, i am going to caution. This is a punishing game - especially when you hit mid-game. If you do not plan way ahead, you will hit a wall and everything will collapse. Even at medium difficulty, life gets REALLY hard, and there may not be a fix. For example, your population will regularly die. This might mean you are left with no builders - and then - you're just kinda screwed unless you get new survivors or you start shuttering mission-critical functions free up workers. Mid-game, you can run out of supplies - and then you're just screwed. For example, one time I just salvaged lumber (instead of building lumber). Suddenly, mid-game, I was out of lumber and there was no way to build a lumber yard.

Also, outside threats are just relentless - which can be exhausting. On the nature front, you get freezing winters (which can kill everyone and stops most food and water production), radiation storms, heat waves, bandits, wild radiated animals, blight, etc...

Anyway, still a fun game - just be patient. You will not be able to build everything you want or save everyone.

Someday, I will beat the game on moderate difficulty.

This game feels like a post-apocalyptic SimCity with a hint of tower defense and a like 2nd big map game that runs simultaneously that has elements that resemble a board game. It combines traditional city-building mechanics with a deep research tree, but without the need for excessive micromanagement. I highly recommend it for casual gamers. Imagine a 3D, above-ground version of Fallout Shelter, but with more advanced strategy and plenty of role-playing moments.

Most importantly, It's fun!!
