Commandos 2 (Steam) launches Pinnacle Studio instead of the game

Hi everyone,
I'm having a very strange issue with the classic version of Commandos 2: Men of Courage on Steam.
Whenever I launch the game (either from Steam or by running Comm2.exe directly), Windows asks for permission to run Pinnacle Studio 17 instead of starting the game. If I click "Yes", Pinnacle Studio opens and then asks me to insert its installation disc.
Here are the details:
Windows 11
Original Steam version of Commandos 2
Verified the game files through Steam (no issues found)
No mods or unofficial patches installed, No trainer or Cheats.
Pinnacle Studio was already installed on my PC long before I installed Commandos 2
Running Comm2.exe directly produces the exact same result
Has anyone ever experienced something like this or knows what could be causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! It's possible the program is trying to open the intro video. You may need to install video codecs, or adding to exceptions, change the default video viewer program...
For example, Commandos 1 BEL required two exceptions: one for DirectX and one for video codecs.
