How to cancel an apartment?

I am renting an apartment, but it's too far for my comfort. How do I cancel this one, and rent a new one?

You can't sell/refund apartments after you purchase it. Only thing you can do is reload a save from before you bought that apartment

just rent a new one the same way you rented that one, and now you have 2. You cant unrent an apartment. The goal is to rent all of them.
FYI you only pay rent once, so you wont have to keep paying for it

yeah, it's kinda weirdly worded in the game, you're not renting apartments, you're buying them, they are yours forever.

even if it's not convenient for you, it's useful to have it because it has passive buffs, like the respect in the district drops slower etc.

Plus it's a money sink, which this game desperately needs more of. Especially for late game.
