What do you guys use other hideouts for?
So, I recently bought the storage unit in Stink (mainly to get a rep boost), but I thought I could make something out of it. So I bought a few jars, some shelves and a laptop and made it into a small manufacturing plant/storage house, even stocked up some drugs there. My thought process was that I could use this to handle orders on the western side of Sector A (Old Market and Stink). But it's kind of a hassle when it comes to managing total inventory, and I'm worried that it may take longer to pay back the cartel, and may cut into my profits overall. In hindsight, this may have worked better if I had someone else manning that station, instead I'm just one man jumping back and forth to check my total inventory.

What I REALLY wanted my first purchase to be was a building where I space to set up a proper lab, larger work space and what not. Might still pursue that in Sector B, but I'm worried about paying rent, which I don't know when it happens, or if it happens.

Anyway, what do you guys do with purchased property? Any recommendations for my storage unit in Stink? Should I just manage my entire operation out of my main apartment until I can get a proper lab set up? When DOES the rent come due in this game?

Im not sure about the rent thing, it could be a 1 time purchase or happen at intervals like the social security payments, who knows. But I personally like to buy hideouts and host a lab for just 1 specific drug in those hideouts. So in one hideout I produce a heroin batch, another I produce coke for addicts, another product coke for non addicts etc. On the flip side, its totally feasible to run the whole operation from the main apartment, you will just lack a bit on the space side of things. In the end of the day its purely preference. The hideouts are whatever you make of them. Wanna make a nice cozy home style thing that has a super high wait accelerator just to skip time when you need it? Go for it

I’ve got 3 buildings including the main house you start with.

I use the small single room building in Stink as a cash stash, literally have cupboards everywhere and secret containers behind them with cash in them too, I also use this arrange cash delivery to Eddie (I have enough cash on hand to pay him back straight after ordering, roughly about $80k right now)

I use the building in Old Market as a processing facility to cut and repackage drugs after picking them up from dead drops, and storage for Coke to sell to La Ballena (I’ve disabled sale to customers so I keep it separate from main stock)

And then I use the main house you start with to store everything, and process all orders and cash collection out of there

It’s good to keep everything separated so that if you do get raided by the DEA, they only get one site with whatever’s there at the time, and not all your cash and stock!

As soon as I had enough money and clients in sector B, I moved all my production to the West Deadtown warehouse because it's the biggest hideout you can have right now and I bought all the furniture I needed, 3 large table, multiple secret container, enough rest furniture to get the max of x25 faster time in the waiting panel, etc. And then I started to ignore all my clients and dealers in sector A because it was too much a hassle to move drugs across the border so now I only deal in sector B and I still make tons of cash because I deal only Coke that I cut to 80% and my reputation is high enough so that I can sell it at 60$/g

I bought all the safehouses honestly the benefits of buying them make the game easier respect doesn't decrease that fast anymore and those save spots are a god sent when ur doing half ur delieveries so u don't start back at square one but honestly putting drugs in other safehouses is a chore js maintaining how many drugs shud be there and dea raid I've gotten 2 the point the garage over at east old town is my go and js snort up coke and js go crazy on those deliveres

At the moment it's a one time fee , i use the spots in old east town (garage for holding cash , and the warehouse right beside it for mixing drugs) i use my main house as my distrubution point.

In sector B i have a similar setup , so , i can drop my bag off in a house i own , travel through sewers to my spot , pickup a new bag , distrubute where it's needed.

rinse , repeat.
currently i use my stink hideout only for the boost...
Going to buy a department with save in section b for all kind of business, mixing, storage, night time sale.

I've seen at least one Downtown warehouse because crossing the border is a ♥♥♥♥♥ as it turns out from streamers.
There doesn't seem to be much point in serving far off areas like Bad Asia or Eastern Slums if you keep giving free samples to people in the starting location. Someone should just try to get a friends list full of West Old Town clients.

My plan is to have specific 2 properties close by to the tunnel entrances so I can transfer large amounts of drugs across anytime of the day, and do all my cutting and store my main stockpile of drugs.

From there I will have 2-3 smaller properties that receive shipments from the main warehouse occasionally as needed. I accept all the deals in the smaller properties areas and do those, then move to the next area. This protects you by not having to carry 20 orders of drugs on you for an entire side of the fence. It's beneficial to break it up because it will dampen the blow if you get caught and arrested by some chance.

It just is a extra safety padding in case of raid or being robbed, it will lessen the blow if one of many arms gets cut off, instead of the whole operation. If you're exposure is higher than it should be, do NOT go near your main warehouse because it can still get robbed if you see a suv outside and you don't even go in.

I've been raided at a new property and then robbed at my main hub, and will never again leave all my eggs in one basket.

I set them up to do different mixing in accordance to different methods, so example

and thats basically how i do them, each hideout gets setup in a dedicated mixing fashion but sometimes i just make layouts that i want to that serve less of a purpose beyond just a desire to make em look that way, like this...

Currently it's one time payment. Meaning there is no weekly/monthly rent as I can tell so far.

At first I refused to use hideouts as I'm a bit too lazy to run around the map to collect the money I need for Eddie, or for equipment. Also I saw no point of storing drugs anywhere but appartment.
However once I got bored and had way too much money, I decided to buy pretty much all hideouts, except those that are in the areas where I just don't need them.
For me hideouts are like money stashes. All money that I get in Sector A I store in Sector A's hideouts (like 20k in garage, 20k in that appartment you can buy near Eddie's, etc etc..) but my drugs are at the appartment.
In Sector B I have three hideouts, one is build with various furniture so it would look like "home", I have my lab there, my drugs that I sell only in Sector B and about 15k in cash. Other two hideouts in Sector B are only for the purpose of storing money, same as in Sector A. So even tho I'm not selling much at the daytime to avoid DEA's attention, in the case if things would go south and one hideouts would be raided, I would still have plenty of money in all my other hideouts to get back on the feet and establish a new lab without any problems.

Because I don't want it to be too easy? You can deposit 1000.000 at night and your exposure won't rise a tiny bit, it's an exploit, it's boring. Money laundering is not worth it unless you have way more money than I have right now. And I just like to have a reason to buy those hideouts.
If there would be more about it, more things to do with the cash once it's on your account, perhaps I would launder it or deposit small amounts every day, but as it is for now, stashing money is part of my gameplay, as there is serious lack of content I have nothing to do in-game except resuplying my dealers twice per night and stashing money.

when pitcoins are fixed that might be better, launder it all, pay eddie via pitcoins...
but tbh i find that i can pay eddie with day runs, launder everything @ 7am, rinse repeat

I use the garages mostly for storage, and I put clothes closets in all my properties so there's always a handy change nearby to get rid of the fugitive flag.

Beyond that, I mostly pick one or two places to set up a big lab, usually one on each side of the wall. Some of the rentals are big enough to cram in a seriously big lab, meaning you can make huge batches of customized drugs quickly and easily. From there you can run supplies out to your other spots to snag drugs on the run if an order got messed up or you're just bouncing about. Depends.

I have 2 main big set ups 1 each side of the border, Then i have another 6 places - 3 each side of the border that i use as storage for cash, small amounts of drugs, easy to dash too in case im chased or my main set ups are raided.

The main safe house (the one we start off with) i dont use that for anything mainly coz its no fun to use it as its place that cant be raided
