A week in to the game and its all just the same formulaic mob types over and over. That ""Challenge"" is just making the mobs more bullet spongy, doing more dmg and you taking more dmg. You cant get better gear when its locked behind a massive difficulty wall, and when you climb that wall the Devs chop your hands off by nerfing your build.
Point this all out and your called a whiny baby because heaven forbid you repeat the same nonsense over and over and over with no results, but your the problem! Not the game!
Then I spent a good amount of time farming T11/12 expedition for legendary gear and dismantled it as I saw fit.
The thing is, you dont need any of them, learn the spawns, the maps etc and just keep going, eventually you will get better gear and make the runs even faster and easier.
But for instance, I did all my T15 clears using the DLC purple AA (originally blue) and it was very good. I didnt get the fancy mods until recently, in fact, not until yesterday I got the ones I wanted, but until then I was farming T13 fine.
The trick is what I said, find whatever expedition you find easiest, and focus on that one, farm it, use it to level up tiers and dont do the hardest tier, so if you are currently on T13 dont do T13, do T12 and level up your gear to T13, once you are ready to move on do the T13 and repeat the process, thats what I did.
Destiny has timers as well, some of the content at least, the problem here is that there is no variety on the end game, but maybe in the future there will be.
Also, there are so many people asking for timers to be removed in Destiny... its a constant ask
I'm running the Seismic Shifter build right now and I am getting acceptable results but properly geared up Tricksters/Technomancers still outclass me by several tens of billions of damage.
Removing the timer would be the obvious fix for this, and instead switching to another metric like deaths per run to class for Gold, Silver, Bronze.
There are other fixes of course that keep the timer intact but they would require a little more tuning from the devs obviously.
Right now, as a Devastator, I feel like I'm pushed into running a build that, while being fun, isn't how I personally would like to play my class in endgame activities. I'd much prefer a proper Warden Build with the Statue or Deathproof set that allows me to be a literal rock for my fellow Outriders, draw the mobs on me and simply allow the others to do damage from the sidelines while I'm just an unkillable beast. But sadly the current meta simply does not support that kinda playstyle.
Last but not least, nerfing the other classes is the wrong move in my opinion. Instead either buff the Devastator or combat the symptoms why the other classes are simply better suited for Expeditions right now.
get better gear ,- can be tricky but sure -
but out right have to change your hole play style because to bad it sucks at end game
seams a bit S hit
yes , some skills are just out right bad i am sure / a few nodes in the skill tree ,but still
i and many others have completed CT15 with various builds, basically you need to make a proper build.
If you die then clearly you lack defenses, make it, there are tons of defensive options in the game.
Its like people complaining that its unfair they cant do mythic raiding with LFG gear in wow, you need to build up the skills and mods, basically anything from lack of damage to lack of effects to lack of defenses can be fixed with mods.
