Anomaly VS Status Power?
Reached endgame and starting to experiment with some builds. My focus will be a heavy freeze/toxic Technomancer. I'm prioritizing bonus firepower, weapon+skill leech, cooldown reduction, and either status or anomaly power.

I understand status power increases the duration of freeze, toxic, and vulnerable effects, but I do not understand which one would cause better DOT damage. Both bonuses state they increase damage. Is one better than the other? No clue how they stack so I will likely focus on pure status power for the time being unless someone can shed some insight.

hover over it and read it, also under help try to look up "status effects", stuff like bleed and toxic deals % anomaly damage, and the status power if you read it doesnt increase toxic damage but duration, however it does increase.. burn? i think. damage.

you can get status power and anomaly on the same gear, so i don't know how much this matters.

I have read it. Where do you see the increase based on % of Anomaly damage?

Anomaly Power:
- "Increases the damage dealt by melee, skills, and status effects."

Status Power:
- "Increase to the damage of burns, toxic, and bleeds. Increase to the duration freeze, ash, vulnerable, and weakness."

Both increase damage. One increases duration (which I will opt for) but I'm assuming one is better than the other. No easy way to test which one increases the damage more either. Don't know how the game math checks out.

Toxic:
- "Does damage equal to 3.5% of your Ability Power every half second for a duration of 6 seconds."

Ability power meaning what? Neither anamoly nor status are defined as Ability Power wherever I have looked.

That's where I'm lost.

I think thats the issue too, i would assume ability power is old for anomaly power, but i dont think we have a confirmation on that.

and as the other guy mentioned, anomaly power is a main stat and status power is a secondary stat so they might very well overlap.

They should rly go through their vocabulary and change some word which seems they had forgotten.

Pyro skill Vulcanic Rounds scales with "Skill dmg" - what excactly does it mean, Anomaly Power?

Yep, really hard to tell what's going on here. Not surprised the other classes have vague skill descriptions either. I'm trying to find a piece of gear that has an equal amount of status and anomaly power with hopes of testing it against some trash mob. Even then it'll be difficult because my toxic damage ticks vary for some reason.

If you plan on going a DoT heavy build then Anamoly+Status is the way to go but thats only if you plan to apply more than 2 dots or if you have the T3 mod that makes you multiply dots/debuffs when you shoot them. Anamoly Mutation was the name.

Thanks. I'll keep my eyes open for that mod!
