I agree on the Mortar. I think that adding a quicker detonation trigger would be great, but OP as all get out when MP is released?
My biggest concern is the Crossbow, I just haven't found a place for it in my arsenal unless I'm out of ammo...
The crossbow is amazing! It shoots trough walls! I've been cleaaring out houses before opening the door. This really sets you up for some very coool looking runs once you fully memorize enemy placement. Def my favorite weapon in the game right now.
In MP yes I can see the Mortar being more viable. Like as example setting up a few trap grenades and then detonate em when another player gets close but we shall see once the game is fully released.
Of course I wouldnt want to make the game any easier by buffing weapons and making them OP. I love it when stuff is challenging but again I still think the spread pattern of the Dual Pistols and Machinegun should be decreased by around 20 to 30%.
I don't really have an issue with the MG, if anything, it could deal just slightly more damage perhaps.
Everything else feels great IMO.
I kind of agree. I think awful is a bit much but I do think it would be a lot better if direct hits detonated on impact.
And as stated earlier, once you have the Riveter, there is literally not reason to ever use the mortar again.
I also have a problem with the hunting rifle. It's a solid weapon, but the issue is how little it can hold. For me, it's more like a fork maiden or scarecrow slayer when I'm not really in the mood to deal with said enemies. I'm too arfaid to waste its ammunition otherwise because I don't have much of it. However, I've been sticking to the easier difficulties, so when I tackle the challenging ones, the hunting rifle could prove to be a gun I constantly equip.
