Broken save file

My PC crashed while launching the game and now my save file is corrupt.

There's no error prompt or anything, game just freezes in main menu if I've got my save loaded in AppData, when I remove it, everything's fine.

Tips? Ideas? Or do I have to just start over at the beginning?

I have same problem. But i cant find save file. Can you help to find it?

The devs are already aware of this. I lost my 11 hours deep save file, made them aware of it about 4 days ago and they're working on getting a fix out in the next patch which, fingers crossed, would also fix our save files!

If you want to restart / make a new character you have to delete or cut/paste the corrupted save file somewhere else.

If you want to do that route, open up run (cmd+r) and search for appdata > localLow > SoulGame
Your save file will be the slot that's 54/55kb large. Just delete and relaunch.

If anyone else experiences this bug please confirm whether or not your PC crashed while the game was open. We think it's the cause and just need as much confirmation as possible.

Relatively rare circumstances but enough to cause concern when it both A) Destroys characters and B) Stops the game from functioning altogether until the character slot is removed.

How can it get more clear than they're going to look into it? They've made no promises, look at the feedback section of steam and you'll see the dev response if you want.

Nope.

If you want to fix it yourself, or don't mind restarting. Open up run (cmd+r) and search for appdata > localLow > SoulGame

Your save file will be the slot that's 54/55kb large. Just delete and relaunch if you want to restart. Or cut/paste it away. If that doesn't work, delete everything in the SoulGame folder and it'll be regenerated automatically.
