Don't let the highly rated reviews fool you, this is one of the worst Steam games I've personally bought and played in years (as of writing this I'm closing in on 4000 games in my Steam library).

This is an extremely amateurish and poorly designed and coded game. The UI is a mess, movement is confusing and disorienting, game waves don't make real sense, enemies are just frantically crashing into everything (they are really stupid) and art direction is clashing hard with the background which makes the experience so much worse. In just a wave or two you can purchase the best upgrades which makes any other upgrades pointless and totally irrelevant.

TLDR: This game is so bad that I wouldn't even bother to play it for free. There are tons of free SHMUPS made in flash that are superior in every single way to this.

Deep deep potential which you see when activating the cheat mode and giving yourself some money to play with. Currently, Deep Space Anomaly's implementation is criminally implemented and requires a redesign of all game systems. Only redeeming factor is some of the music.

Do not waste your time. This "game" is so frighteningly disorienting I couldn't play it. It looks bad, it plays bad, and it spams you with nonsense achievements as soon as you launch it (seriously, they are achievement 601, 602, etc.) All of the reviews look fake, and somehow despite the fact that steam does list two negative reviews, they don't show up. This is very sketchy.

I only payed $0.59, but I can't figure out the controls. Only mouse buttons work to shoot, no ship controls? All that happens is ship flies straight, and i'm shooting bullets and missiles, i am not sure if this is what is supposed to be happening but not fun at all. No instructions. Game crashed 3 times in 5 minutes I played. Asked for a refund.

Deep Space Anomaly - this dexterity shooter game , we have one aim to survive the waves killing enemies. Waves is 30 for every waves we got money to upgrade ship or weapon a lot different modification to use that is cool more skills to better killing.
Aim is one to does not give to kill and passages to next wave buy better skills and go to next round -)

All time on next waves i see new enemies [stonger ,bigger faster runing] to killing that is very exaiting .Im done 22 of 30 waves i will finish all and i say game is very good the guard of attention how and the time.
Sountrack oh yes is osom all time new other track [drummbass] if you like drumm or techno this is game for you-) excellent music for playing and relaxing ! wen you killing enemies trying finish all waves. Community works and good developer is here.

I command all this game is very nice !

It's a cheap game so you shouldn't expect much, which is exactly what you get, not much. You fly around without being able to tell if you're moving most of the time; controls are clunky and sometimes unresponsive. You do at least have to play to get the achievements, but since they don't count it doesn't matter much. Despite that, it's decent enough given the price, but there are 2 good reasons for the down vote.

1. Somehow my perspective has been zoomed in to the point that my ship takes up about 10% of the screen. I have no idea how this happened and don't see any way to fix it.
2. The game keeps locking up. Sometimes I can get past a level or two before it happens, sometimes it happens before I can even start a level.

Very strange, not even sure what is going on. Supposed WASD is movement, but there doesn't seem to be any moving going on, the game play is too fast to track and the entire thing seems like nonsense. I think it's broken but it is so disorienting I can't be sure. I do notice a lot of slots for additional weapons, and I could never figure out how to get any of them. Finished a few levels (not sure how) and went to a store, but I couldn't tell what, if any, difference the things I spent money on might have done.
Would not recommend at any price.

Not too bad, but needs some optimization. Quite a few options for weapons and equipment. Some good ideas, although a tad bit clunky. Tons of achievements that start right when you play for flags and letter s for profiles, but they get to legit ones after the initial run. Mostly buy for cheap under $1 and wait for some high quality market items. Seems there are some pro made profile backgrounds coming and they look pretty awesome so far. You can see it on the news. ;)

The game seems pretty ridiculous, and not in a good way.

It's not clear what you're supposed to even be doing. Shooting everything, sure ... but why?

The controls are weird -- they make it feel more like you're kind of making suggestions for your ship to follow rather than actually controlling it directly.

The game has 1500 (!) achievements, mostly with nonsensical names and with no idea how you earned them, and yet I somehow managed to earn 24 achievements after playing the game for ten minutes.
