Juzo Mido Is Easy
I've seen a lot of people complaining that Mido is tough but when I fought him the 1st time he was suprisingly easy. I didn't even cheese or anything. I beat him 1st try. Of course the Blade Bearer and Cannoneer where annoying but Mido. Did anyone else find him easy or was it just me?

I feel some of his bigger issues are his visual design doesn't make it obvious WHAT the heck his abilities do at times until you eventually learn through multiple attempts. Making it a bit more complicated is some of them don't even make it obvious when they killed you and you have multiple potentially confusing abilities going on at once and it further distorts the understanding of the situation. Some are also odd like the homing as you might die to it thinking it was avoided just to fine the tracking on it is actually quite intense and can full 180 to get you unlike, as far as I know, any other ability in the game. I think knowledge of him is the most annoying aspect. He was a little stamina intense at times too due to my low level but I don't think that is a big deal at higher levels, is what I'd say but I don't actually know how much stamina increases as you level.

I feel like everything besides the DLC and Blade/Cannoneer is easy in this game. With partners anyway.

Question is, are you saying that he's easy solo, or with a partner? Because partners can nearly solo bosses.

the fight is not as bad as the previous one, still suffer from all the problems bosses on this game have, extremely wide range attacks with lingering hitboxes, too aggressive and so on.

I can't say I enjoy a single boss fight on this game.

I had a partner but as opposed to other bosses in the game he went down pretty easy.

Mido isn't that bad as long as you aren't trying him solo. The major problem is his sword, which can deal devastating damage. In NG+ (with enhanced difficulty) you can have more than 3000hp, if you're getting caught once, that can already be a death sentence. Having a partner helps alot there.

Honestly, he may seem pretty dangerous, but has really easy patterns, once you get to see them once. So if you pay attention, he is not that bad and you do have enough healing to get to that point.
So yeah.

maybe play NG+ 2head
He's the boss I have most trouble with funnily enough, despite being one of the easier bosses. I can't get used to how slow he is, I always end up rolling early or too late then getting banged out in one hit or being mangled in a 2-3 hit combo. Maybe it's because I'm still 'twitchy' and in the zone after beating Bearer and Cannoneer. A 5 min break and a good hot cuppa usually sorts him out.
Don't otherthink him, strafe behind him so he ends his combos early and use blood barrier + blood tonic to take off most of his damage. He's only hard in NG+ and beyond where you only have to mess up once before having to take the walk of shame back to his arena.

I'm going to go against the consensus on this one. I would say Mido is much worse than the previous boss. Once I was able to somewhat anticipate the Blade I was able to pick apart the Cannoneer in my 2H build with stun and stagger then finish her off. After 15 attempts or so I looked up the strat and kept getting wrecked by the time bombs while trying to pin down the Blade, I finally said F' it and went after Cannoneer first and had a much easier time.

Mido was a nightmare, I think he was even worse for me than Gilded Hunter, which was previously the hardest boss fight to do. It took me nearly 2 hours and probably 30 attempts to finally kill him. 2 times I had him with 1-3% health and just could not get the last hit in with how fast he combos. Combined with the inhibit you get no heals from your companion making it even worse. I could not get the dodge timing right to reliably evade his combos and just ended up pouring DPS into him at the transition, stacking as much poison as I could and using a stim to be able to keep chain dodging and getting in strikes when I could.

The complaint wasn't that he's hard with a partner. The complaint is that he's significantly harder on Solo and to beat him you either have to cheese or be very skillful with your dodges and stamina management.

I find him much tougher than the Normal Duo and the Gilded Hunter.

I just finished the game last night and would definitely put him at the top in terms of difficulty. Personally, top 4 in terms of difficulty would be Mido - Gilded Hunter - Blade/Cannoneer - Silva in that order. The rest of them were significantly less difficult overall.

Hmm, how come noone else but me struggles with Silva all the time? I would pretty much say that aside from Silva and the Hellish Duo, I always finished everything in one or two tries, including Mido and especially the Hunter, I don't think I got downed by the Hunter even once in two playthroughs, and I always do play solo.
Silva was a big, frustrating no-no for ma tho.

I probably had an easier time with Silva since my primary was a 2H Hermes heavy stagger build. Once I got his swing timing down it was fairly easy to get him into phase 3 (20%) and then it is a DPS race. I used the shield and damage resistance buffs at the transition then just went nuts with heavy hitting gifts and combos. Once I could get him to the phase 3 transition every time it was mainly just luck being able to evade or stagger him and line up a DPS window. Those arcing strikes in phase 3 are the killer. You need to burn him down before he can do that more than once or you wont survive.
